Responsibilities

- Providing a unique service based solution to safeguarding students and staff using markers detected in the IT / ILT / ICT environment

- Review of inappropriate and illegal images

- Identification of grooming, cyber bullying, radicalisation, suicide and self-harm risk markers through keystroke, website, document and chat analysis

- Reporting to customer safeguarding / leadership staff when safeguarding risk occurs; users transgress acceptable use policies / code of conduct; and offering advice in cases of serious or illegal reports

- Safeguarding support and guidance for schools / teachers / parents

- Monitoring data for over 500,000 users on a daily basis

- Management of system and data

- Research into the latest safeguarding issues

Person Profile

- An interest in safeguarding children, young people and adults

- Completed a degree or modules in any of the following areas: Computing Forensics, Child Psychology, Criminology and Forensic Science

- Some knowledge of computer forensics

- Foreign Language capability (Desirable) e.g. central / eastern European languages, Cantonese, Mandarin, Urdu, Arabic, Farsi, Punjabi, Hindi, Somali, Swahili

- Interest in data analysis
