This program will be conducted in English. The film is in English with English subtitles.
Please join us at the Beijing American Center for a screening of “The Revenant,” a 2015 American epic survival Western film starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The film follows a legendary explorer Hugh Glass on his quest for survival and justice. After a brutal bear attack, Glass is left for dead by members of his own hunting team but finds the strength to crawl back home. What drives a person to survive in the harshest of conditions? That was the question Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu kept turning over in his mind during the making of his film, “ The Revenant .” The film won three Golden Globe Awards, and won the awards for Best Director, Best Actor and Best Cinematography at the 88th Academy Awards.
