Lombard Risk is a leading provider of regulatory compliance and collateral management software solutions to banks and financial institutions on a global basis.
We are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to fill a Regulatory Reporting SME role for our multi-jurisdictional regulatory reporting product. This position will be based in our London office.
- Maintaining a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the regulatory reporting requirements, both within jurisdictions for which Lombard Risk already provides a solution, and for new requirements and jurisdictions for which the company has decided to develop a solution;
- Using this knowledge to independently review and validate the analysis and design documentation produced by the Regulatory Product Analysts to ensure that the reporting requirements have been correctly interpreted and the proposed design will result in the delivery of a reporting solution that will be “fit for purpose”
- Reviewing test plans, test data and expected results to verify that functional testing of product enhancements and new solutions will achieve adequate coverage
- Ownership and governance of the product data model, ensuring that changes proposed by Regulatory Product Analysts are necessary, appropriate, and consistent with both the regulatory requirements and the operation of the product
- Providing advice and guidance when needed to the Regulatory Product Analysts, particularly in cases where the requirements may be ambiguous or contradictory
- The Functional Architect will also act as the final arbiter when necessary in determining how a requirement should be interpreted
- Utilising their regulatory domain knowledge to contribute to the definition of the future product roadmap / strategy
The Regulatory Reporting SME can expect to work on a variety of Lombard Risk’s regulatory reporting solutions, across multiple jurisdictions. However, initially the expectation is that the analyst will work on our FED and EBA reporting solutions, where an in-depth knowledge and experience of the Basel 3 and CRD IV requirements are essential requirements.
The individual appointed to this role will be a key member of a “virtual” team of regulatory subject matter experts (SMEs), comprising the Functional Authority and the Regulatory Product Analysts based in London, New York, Singapore and Hong Kong. A significant aspect of the SME team’s remit is to identify common solutions to the reporting requirements of disparate jurisdictions, where generic components can be designed and developed once, and then re-used across a number of our product solutions.
- A minimum of three years working within the regulatory reporting domain with knowledge of a wide range of financial products AND/OR experience of working in the regulatory department of an accountancy firm dealing with regulatory audits
- Extensive banking / finance experience, with a strong background in regulatory reporting, and excellent detailed knowledge of the Basel 3 regulatory reporting requirements within at least one regulator / jurisdiction
- Previous experience of the implementation of major regulatory changes
- Experience of risk and banking software products
- Knowledge of the regulatory reporting requirements across multiple regulators / jurisdictions
- Experience of product development / delivery from having worked for an independent software vendor
- Experience of working within a virtual team spread across several global locations and time zones
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Ideal Requirements (Advantageous): Fluency in Mandarin and any other European languages
