Job Description
Located in an award-winning, state of the art building adjacent to St Paul's Cathedral, the City Information Centre (CIC) requires a full-time Deputy Manager who will:
- Deputise for the CIC Manager in managing a team to provide a top-quality welcome to all visitors
- Represent the CIC, promote the City of London and its attractions and facilities to the public and appropriate organisations
- Be actively responsible for the operational running of the building, for managing the retail offer and for identifying and negotiating commercial opportunities
The Successful Applicant Will Have
- Substantial experience in customer service, ideally tourism related
- Relevant experience in managing a small team
- Relevant experience in EPOS retail management including merchandise, commercial sales and revenue generation
- Experience in creating social media content for various channels
- Excellent knowledge of London and the City, with some understanding of tourism organisations
- Excellent written and spoken English with fluency in at least one other language from amongst French, Spanish, Italian, German, Chinese, Portuguese
- A good level of competence on IT systems
- A Highly flexible, mature attitude and intuitive management skills
Additional Information
The centre is open 7 days a week, so the successful applicant will be required to work some weekends and bank holidays as a regular part of a rota.
