This program will be conducted in English.
Please join the U.S. Embassy's own Leandra Campbell as she takes us on a journey through the history of dance within the African American community. Dance has been a central part of the African American experience, culture, and history. Within this presentation you will gain a better understanding of dance throughout the African diaspora, how African American dance has evolved over time, and why dance is so important to African American culture. Enjoy this opportunity to learn about pivotal moments in American history that have influenced and still shape the direction of American dance today.
This program is not suitable for children under 6 .
