The lecture talks about the difference between high and low licking and grooming rat. Some mother rats spend a lot of time licking, grooming, and nursing their pups. Others seem to ignore their pups.

Highly nurtured rat pups tend to grow up to be calm adults, while rat pups who receive little nurturing tend to grow up to be anxious The offspring of high LG rat seems to have better ability to deal with stress, and less chance of heart disease and alcoholism. The research is important for the development of people handle stress and stress reactivity.

The contemporary ministerial staffing system is large, active and partisan- far larger and further evolved than any Westminster equivalent. Ministers’ demands for help to cope with the pressures of an increasingly competitive and professionalized political environment have been key drivers of the staffing system’s development. But there has not been commensurate growth in arrangement to support and control it. The operating framework of ministerial staff is fragmented and ad hoc.

58. Job-hunting

When it comes to job-hunting, first impressions are critical. Remember, you are marketing a product - yourself - to a potential employer. The first thing the employer sees when greeting you is your attire; thus, you must make every effort to have the proper dress for the type of job you are seeking. Will dressing properly get you the job? Of course not, but it will give you a competitive edge and a positive first impression.

How should you dress? Dressing conservatively is always the safest route, but you should also try and do a little investigating of your prospective employer so that what you wear to the interview makes you look as though you fit in with the organization. If you overdress (which is rare but can happen) or under dress (the more likely scenario), the potential employer may feel that you don't care enough about the job.

2.问题：纽约大学研究城市里低收入的妈妈是怎么培养孩子 cognitive awareness, 阅读篇幅有点长，大概四段，直接阅读倒数第二段关于一项妈妈的研究，题目问 research 研究的对象是怎样的妈妈。

选择答案里带低收入生活在城市里的妈妈（mothers with low-income and working in urban cities）

3. 讲一个动物在密西西比河，讲他的长度特征还有生活习性，我只选了了一个（多选题）因为有个什么41feet什么只说 exceed 但是选项是说了这个动物最长的长度可以达到什么….我觉得并没有完全符合段落内容

4. 体现多元化diversity

Good fat include fish, olive oil, and nuts. Good fat protect heart and reduce cholesterol. French fish or can fish are both ok. Saturated fat is mostly in meat, dairy and pastries. Although meat and dairy have saturated fat, they also have good nutrition such as protein. So instead of cutting them off completely, just substitute with low fat.

回忆要点：

讲全球气温变化，然后有人 pose legal duty 但作用不大然后也有进行改革的大致说 international environmental law 和 climate change

l UK 从查尔斯二世就有立法要改善环境问题，要 globally and locally

l 提到两个 human activities on environment 和 industrial revolution ， improve employee health

l 工厂被罚款 cost 上升，竞争力下降

l 提到 Theory of Adam Smith, 很多公司都用亚当斯密的理论亚当史密斯理论链接：

Human activities and industrial revolution are the two reasons that lead to environmental problems. To change the situation, global and local efforts are needed. The Environmental Law Enforcement imposed in UK since Charles the Second is an aggressive regulation, which forces industries to focus on employee health and the environment. This contradicts Adam Smith’s Model, as the law increases the cost of the production and decreases the competitiveness and profit. (70 words)

The lecture talks about global climate change, environment Law and two human activities on environment and industrial revolution. People assert that legal duty to companies should be posed. However, according to theory of Adam Smith, the cost will increase if those factories get fined, which will reduce their competitiveness. UK have posed relative law to protect environment. However, to solve those environmental problems, it requires global and local effort together. (70 words)

● Today’s debt is so huge. Debt comes from seeds

●印度农民有很大经济压力因为没有 capital 没有 money, 很穷

The lecture is about the Indian farmers. Indian peasants are under economical pressure. They lack capital, which pushed them to commit suicide. The most expensive things are seeds and chemicals. Seed banks can help rescue and distribute seeds to relieve farmers’ stress and stop suicide. Seed banks are the platform on which people can fight global warming, climate change and globalisation. (61 words)
