We are now starting semester 2. How quickly our year is going ! This semester we have many great ideas for our students. For now I just wanted to mention a few items of concern or interest to you.

What is a Flu ?
Influenza is an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by influenza virus, which is transmitted by droplets under normal circumstances. The symptoms include chills, fever, headache and fatigue, general soreness, body temperature up to 39 ℃ and 40 ℃ with nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, dry cough and so on.
Preventive measure
1. Pay attention to prevent cold and keep warm. According to seasonal change, weather change, add clothes as appropriate. When the body gets cold, the blood supply of respiratory tract constricts, blood supply decreases, local resistance drops, germs are easy to invade.
2. Regular penetration of indoor air. Regularly open windows to ventilation, keep air circulation, let sunlight into the room, because the ultraviolet rays in the sun have bactericidal effect, can also be fumigated room vinegar, disinfection effect.
3. Supplement nutrition. 4. Adequate sleep. Sufficient sleep can eliminate fatigue, regulate various functions of the human body, and enhance immunity.
5. Strengthen exercise, strengthen physique. Physical exercise can enhance blood circulation, improve immunity, but do not exercise morning in fog, because the fog not only contains a large number of harmful substances, and more water vapor. It can affect the gas exchange in the body's lungs.
6. Do well personal hygiene. Pay attention to wash your hands frequently (six-step hand washing method, gargle frequently, do not touch the face, eyes, mouth and other parts with dirty hands; Try to stand where the air is clear outside. Try to wear a mask to go out reduce infection during influenza-prone periods.
7. Immunoprophylaxis. The disease may be vaccinated in a preventive station or in a regular hospital before the epidemic, or under the guidance of a doctor.

流行性感冒简称流感,是由流感病毒引起的急性呼吸道传染病,一般情况下通过飞沫传播。流感的潜伏期一般为数小时至4天。发病常见急起高热,表现为畏寒、发热、头痛乏力、全身酸痛等,体温可达39℃~40℃并伴有鼻塞、流涕、咽痛、干咳等症状。
预防措施
1.注意防寒保暖。根据季节变化、天气冷暖而酌情添减衣物。当人体受凉时,呼吸道血管收缩,血液供应减少,局部抵抗力下降,病菌容易侵入。
2.定时通透室内空气。定时开窗通风,保持空气流通,让阳光射进室内,因为阳光中的紫外线具有杀菌作用,也可用食醋熏蒸房间,起到消毒效果。
3.补充营养。增加水分的摄入,冬季气候干燥,空气尘埃含量高,人体鼻黏膜容易受损,通过补充水分,让鼻黏膜保持湿润,能有效抵御病毒的入侵,注意多补充些鱼、肉、蛋、奶等营养价值较高的食物,增强肌体免疫功能;多吃新鲜蔬菜水果,可中和体内毒素,提高抗病能力;同时还有利于体内毒素排泄,净化内环境。
4.充足睡眠。充足睡眠能消除疲劳,调节人体各种机能,增强免疫力。
5.加强锻炼,增强体质。体育锻炼可增强血液循环,提高免疫力,但雾天不要晨练,因为浓雾中不仅含有大量有害物质,而且水汽较多,会影响人体肺部的气体交换。
6.做好个人卫生。要注意勤洗手(六步洗手法)、勤漱口,不要用脏手触摸脸、眼、口等部位;出门在外要尽量站在空气通畅的地方。尽量在流感多发时期戴口罩出门以减少感染。
7.免疫预防。疾病流行前可到防疫站或正规医院进行相应的预防接种,也可在医生的指导下服用具有预防作用的中药汤剂。
