国际民主日（9月15日）。

国际民主日为寻求激励民主并应对其所面临的系统性挑战提供了一个契机，这包括：解决经济和政治不平等问题；通过将年轻和边缘化群体纳入政治体系，使民主更具包容性；使民主国家在应对移民和气候变化等新出现的挑战时更创新性、更为积极。今年国际民主日的主题是“压力下的民主：变化世界中的解决方案”。2018年恰逢《世界人权宣言》70周年纪念，因此，今年的国际民主日也成为一个突出自由价值观和尊重人权作为民主基本要素的机会。http://www.un.org/zh/events/democracyday/index.shtml

International Day of Democracy (15 September)

This year’s International Day of Democracy, under the theme "Democracy under Strain: Solutions for a Changing World" is an opportunity to look for ways to invigorate democracy and seek answers to the systemic challenges it faces. This includes tackling economic and political inequalities, making democracies more inclusive by bringing the young and marginalized into the political system, and making democracies more innovative and responsive to emerging challenges such as migration and climate change.
