Between Wednesday September 12 and Thursday September 13, Special Representative for North Korea Stephen Beigun visited Beijing for his first meetings with counterparts in his new role. He had a productive discussion with Ambassador Branstad in preparation for meetings in Beijing. On Wednesday, the Special Representative discussed DPRK denuclearization with Chinese counterparts. Together we hope to seize every possible opportunity to realize our shared goal of the final, fully verified denuclearization of North Korea.
