国家野生动物日——最后一只白犀牛

《明星探索之旅》系列纪录片共有足足5集，分别由刘欢、吴秀波、郎朗、江一燕和李光洁五位野生救援公益大使担任主演。用跟踪拍摄的手法，记录下公益大使与野生动物近距离接触的全过程。而且为了呈现野生动物最真实的生存状态，明星们远赴印度、非洲、夏威夷、巴哈马群岛和墨西哥等野生动物栖息地拍摄，历时18个月制作完成。
这次我们将带来由江一燕：最后的犀牛
野生救援伴随着公益大使江一燕，一起跨到了地球的另一边，开启了一场不同于以往的非洲行。在科学家和动物保护专家的带领下，江一燕走进了犀牛的栖息地，揭开了这些动物的真实生活，与世界上最后一头雄性北方白犀牛“苏丹”（有了首次的接触、还在当地野生动物救助站里认识了小犀牛孤儿“妹妹”。在行程中，江一燕也体验了这里原著民的生活，和他们唱歌跳舞。感受着这里非常浓烈的人与人之间、人与动物之间非常友好、和谐的气氛。这些经历，对于来过非洲多次的江一燕有了不同的感悟。她说 “以前来到非洲都是在高空中俯视这些动物，但这一次，我带着使命来到这里，徒步去寻找他们。这才是我们应该有的态度，人与动物本来就应该是平等的。”
然而不幸的是， 苏丹在片子公映前由于疾病原因在2018年3月20日，于非洲肯尼亚保护区OIPejeta去世。
北白犀牛是世界上面临最严峻境地的濒危物种之一，目前仅有两只幸存。这只是众多濒临灭绝物种中的一种。美国将每年9月4日定为国家野生动物日，以纪念地球的生物多样性，同时增强大家对世界上众多物种的认知，它们因自然和人为因素而遭受着痛苦。今年，美国领事馆接待了一位野生援助组织的代表，该组织是世界范围内致力于提高对濒危物种认知的领导者。他将与大家分享野生动物援助组织如何与中国有影响力的公众人物合作，如成龙和姚明，以提高大家对于濒危物种的认知。为了说明他们的工作，野生援助组织还将放映一部45分钟的关于犀牛的纪录片，影片主角是江一燕。欢迎大家于9月6日星期四晚上7点前往林肯大厅现场支持，同时也了解自身能采取哪些措施来帮助拯救世界。
The northern white rhinoceros is one of the most critically endangered animals in the world. There are only two still alive. This is just one of many species that has been poached to near-extinction for its body parts. Every year, the United States recognizes September 4 as National Wildlife Day to celebrate Earth’s biodiversity and raise awareness for the many species suffering due to natural and manmade changes in the world today. This year, the U.S. Consulate is hosting a representative from WildAid, a worldwide leader in raising awareness about endangered species, to discuss how WildAid works with influential public figures in China like Jackie Chan and Yao Ming to raise awareness about endangered species. To help illustrate their work, WildAid will also screen a short 45-minute documentary film about rhinos featuring Jiang Yiyan (Kiki). Come to Lincoln Hall on Thursday, September 6 at 7PM to show your support and learn what you can do to help save the world.
