CISH Kindergarten Maple Dragon Learner Profile award of the month

We would like to present to you a fun initiative from the CISH Kindergarten:

As a team of Kindergarten Teachers at the Canadian International School of Hefei, we want to honour the special characteristics and special qualities of each student over the course of the year. Every month, each class will nominate two students for the Maple Dragon Award. We will focus on our IB Learner Profiles to determine the awards. That means we are looking for students who are inquiring, reflective, caring, knowledgeable, open-minded, principled, risk-takers, communicators, balanced, and thinkers.

We have set up a special board in the Kindergarten hallway where we will display a picture and description of what qualities we appreciate about each learner. This week, teachers spent time speaking to the students about the importance of their attitudes and what attributes we appreciate and value in this month’s learners. Every month we will continue to focus on these attributes and have discussions around this. We will continue to encourage learners to focus on these positive attributes as the year progresses. 作为合肥加拿大国际学校的幼儿园教师团队，我们决定在接下来一整年的教学中针对每位学生的优秀品质和闪光点给予嘉奖。每个班级每月会选出两位荣获枫叶龙奖的学生。我们会一直关注IB学习者的状态。这些学生善于探究和反思，关心他人，渴望求知，思维开阔，善于冒险和交流，公平公正，善于思考。

我们在幼儿园走廊设立了一个特殊的版块，用图片和文字展示这些学习者的优秀品质。本周我们的老师一直不断的告诉学生学习态度的重要性，以及每月优秀学习者应该具备的优秀品质和价值。

以后每个月我们会利用这个版块持续关注孩子们的优良品质，并深入探讨。随着时间的推移，我们也会一直鼓励学生注重优秀品质的养成。欢迎大家前来参观枫叶龙奖展示板，进一步了解我们的学生。
