The sun rises in the east. The river is rising after the rain. My parents rise very early. They all rose (from their seats) to greet us. The river rose a foot in the night. Rice rose 15 cents in price. There has been a rise in prices. I’ve got two rises this year. His rise to power was very rapid. He raised his voice. I can’t raise the box. Her wages were raised. He is a farmer and raises horses. 4. I’m going to give you a raise/rise.
