We are seeking an experienced Product Development Manager. This position is responsible for managing and developing one or two product lines among our current lines: Lingerie, Accessories, Cosmetics, and Intimate Toys. Reporting to the Director of Marketing you will work cross functionally with the entire business and third party suppliers and manufacturing partners. You will have creative strengths and the confidence to use these, and at the same time a hands-on, practical, and structured approach. Since 2006, Soft Paris designs, develops and distributes through the home parties business (also known as direct sales) lingerie, cosmetics, and intimate toys. Number one in France, we are planning to expand in Europe. Femininity, elegance, sophistication are core values of our brand.

-   Proposing the global strategy for product development within the context of the brand values and product lines

-   Working with the internal and/or free-lance creative team (designers, 3D artists, graphic artists), to create new products and improve existing ones, constantly being aware of new innovations and product opportunities

-   Responsible for sourcing third party suppliers and manufacturing partners in China (lingerie and intimate toys), and Europe (cosmetics)

-   Trips to China once or twice per year

-   Chinese proficiency is a plus

-   Working with cosmetics manufacturers developing new products formulations

-   Negotiating prices with suppliers and manufacturers

-   Making sure that all our products are in compliance with European regulations (CE marking, cosmetics regulation)

-   Packaging design, and product marketing

-   Set production standard for manufacturing -   Follow up production

-   Surveillance of market, competitor activity, and consumer feedback to ensure that we remain at the forefront and be a respected leader in our category

-   Communicate effectively with Logistics Manager, Quality Manager, and the Sales department

-   At least 3 years experience at a similar position in the cosmetics and/or lingerie, and/or consumer goods industry

-   Relevant degree – an MBA along with a Marketing and product development specialization

-   Proven ability to work on own initiative and independently, highly self-motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic individual

-   Negotiation skills

-   Creative skills IT Literate with beginner / intermediate knowledge of Adobe CS, ERP’s

-   Proficiency of Chinese, French, or another European language, a plus, but not necessary

-   Candidates must have the right to work in the EU
