PINGHE Ltd is a high-end womenswear brand founded in London, stocked by leading, luxury department stores such as Harvey Nichols. Our head office is based in west London whilst our own sampling and production office are in Beijing, China, where majority of the developments and all manufacture are carried out to ensure precision and high quality.
Personal Specification
The PINGHE team is currently recruiting for a Marketing Director to join their London office. The successful candidate will play an integral role at PINGHE Limited in planning and managing the international marketing operations and developments, ensuring increased sales and brand awareness on a big scale.
He/She will oversee the marketing teams as well as working closely with the brand marketing, sales, creative design and product teams in Beijing, Hong Kong and London offices. The ideal candidate should have solid understanding about the UK and Asia high-end fashion markets and culture awareness of customer service.
He/She must proven abilities to be connected with major fashion retailers ,wholesales ,buyer in the UK and Asia. He/She must have excellent leadership skills and solid experience working for complex brands in China, Hong Kong and the UK.
Main Job Duties and Responsibilities
·Liaises with senior staffs in the UK office to determine the range of products to be sold for the UK and Asia markets; analyzes the budget, discusses the sales targets and agrees on the marketing strategies for the new season;
·Discusses clients’ requirements with the Creative Director and senior staffs, plans and monitors surveys and analyzes of customers’ reactions to products;
·Examines and analyzes sales figures, advises and monitors marketing campaigns and promotional activities for the UK and Asian markets;
·Controls the staff recruitment and conducts internal trainings on a regular basis;
·Discusses with the Creative Director and senior staffs, product teams in Beijing, Hong Kong and London offices. Produces reports and recommendations concerning retail developments, international marketing and products, sales strategies;
·Researches market trends, analyzescustomers’ feedbacks and requirements, understands competitor’s strengths and weakness to identifies the market opportunities in order to increase the product marketability and profitability;
·Day-to-day management of social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter,Wechat) for the UK and Asia markets;
·Monitors the Brand activities across TV, Press and social media;
·Develops and maintains good relationships with retailers, fashion publications & journals, Press, PR and media companies in both the UK and China;
·Works closely with the UK, China and Hong Kong offices, manages and monitors budgets and financial reports, provides detailed marketing strategy plan to ensure the revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
·Frequent business trips between UK and Asia
Requirements
·Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English;
·Educated to degree level or above; candidate who has qualification(s) in fashion, marketing or/and business management related subjects would be desirable;
·Proven working experience in international fashion marketing, fashion retail, sales channels development and branding management;
·Proven knowledge or experience in fashion supply chain and productmanagement would be preferable
·Ability to work in a cross cultural environment, candidate who has solid understanding about UK and Asia fashion retail industries would be highly desirable;
·Be familiar with fashion trade and government policies between China, Hong Kong and the UK.
·Candidate who has relevant work experience gained in both China and the UK would be highly desirable but not compulsory;
·Proven ability to work and negotiate with fashion retailers, client suppliers and buyers;
·Candidate who has strong connections with fashion retailers, suppliers, service providers and/or third party purchasers in China or Hong Kong would be preferable but not compulsory;
·Excellent in decision-making, collaborating, communicating clearly and efficiently with junior and senior staffs in the company to achieve the common goals;
·Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities. Ability to deal with complexity;
·Experienced in supervising and training junior team members;
·Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint;
·Proactive trouble-shooter; be able to identify issues and coordinate the resources necessary to resolve problems to the customers’ satisfaction;
·Accustomed to extensive travel to pursue and close new business agreements.
