• Analysing research findings this will include using analytical, numerical and IT skills to gain insight from raw information, while exercising creative judgement to see beyond the numbers

• Drawing out key positive and negative stories, patterns and trends from data

• Completing written reports which summarise coverage accurately and concisely

• Compiling new data by reading and evaluating media coverage

• Developing both qualitative and quantitative research - this requires an expert understanding of the value of a range of research methods

• Selecting the most appropriate research methods to use for a particular query

• Ensuring clients reports are completed by the deadline, which is usually monthly or quarterly

• Maintaining accurate records of the delivery of coverage, as well as looking for gaps and duplication in the coverage

• Implementing quality assurance checks on data before processing

• Building market and sector knowledge and expertise, for example by reading all the press, keeping up to date with developments

• Attending relevant in-house and external information and training sessions

• Implementing the company s quality control procedures to ensure that other analysts' work meets the required standards

• Providing general support and information to the analyst team and those involved in handling the clients' accounts
