在悉尼上北区Wahroonga，一座豪华庄园的售价打破了这一地区的最高销售价纪录。

庄园有5间睡房，它又被成为Wairimu。

房东是Steve Askew，他曾经是新闻集团旗下的星空传媒集团在亚洲的首席运营官。
他也曾经联合制作了成龙，李连杰和刘德华不少的电影。
他在2007年买进了这一物业，然后花了上百万澳元来重新装修它。
Steve Askew说，除了外墙和屋顶瓦片外，屋里所有的，我们都已经完全重新装修过。
这对于海外买家来说，是一个巨大的好处，因为这一房子等于是全新的。
他说他们架对这一庄园最大的，最美好的回忆是我们的两个孩子3岁和5岁的在这里长大。
Steve Askew计划另外再找一间大房子来居住。
代理中介公司老板Adam Regan介绍说，有两个买家对这一物业非常感兴趣。
他说，目前高端市场的销售不错。

New suburb record for Wahroonga with the sale of luxury estate
A NEW suburb record has been set for Wahroonga on the upper north shore, with the sale of a luxury estate for more than $9 million.
The five-bedroom property at 10 Water St, known as Wairimu, is set on a 3228sq m block and has a full size tennis court, swimming pool and theatre room.
While the exact price was not disclosed it was sold for between $9 million and $9.5 million on Monday.

The vendor is Steve Askew who has worked as chief operating officer for News Corp’s STAR Group in Asia and has co-produced movies with Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Andy Lau.
He bought the property with his wife in 2007 and spent millions completely renovating the residence over a three-year period.
“All that remains of the original home are external bricks and roof tiles. All internals are brand new and this is a huge benefit to the overseas buyers,” Mr Askew said.

He said his fondest memories of the property have been watching their sons aged three and five grow up there.

OurEstates director Adam Regan who was the agent for the sale said they had two buyers interested in the high-end property.
He said market conditions were playing a role in the high-end market.
“I think the Aussie dollar coming off is helping the high-end massively,” Mr Regan said.
According to RP Data the median house price in Wahroonga is $1.2 million.
