For EAL purposes, WIDA testing is conducted to determine student acceptance and placement. The WIDA test is a comprehensive assessment of English language ability focusing on all four essential skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. WIDA is comprised of six levels ranging in score from the bottom, 1.0, to the top, 6.0.

我校根据学生WIDA测试结果设有不同阶段的EAL课程，WIDA测试是为决定学生的英语水平在什么等级应该在哪个阶段的班级学习而设置的。 WIDA测试是测试英语语言能力，其中包括四项基本技能：听，说，读，写的综合评价。WIDA测试包含6个水平等级，分数是从1.0到最高分6.0.

WIDA시험은 학생 영어 수준이 어떻게 되는지 테스트하는 것입니다.시험내용은 말하기,듣기,읽기,쓰기를 포함합니다. WIDA는 6등급 있고 스코어는 1.0에서 6.0까지 있는 것입니다.

Currently, for PYP EAL (G1 to G5), CISH has both Diamonds and Stars EAL. Students in Diamonds EAL range from 1.0 to 3.0 in WIDA assessment scores, while students in Stars have scores 3.0 up to 5.0 on WIDA results. For MYP EAL (G6 to G9), currently, there is Phase 2 EAL and Phases 3 & 4 EAL. Students in Phase 2 will have WIDA scores ranging from 2.0 to 3.5, while students in Phases 3 & 4 EAL will have achieved scores from 3.5 up to 5.0 on WIDA assessment. Also, we are offering an intensive MYP Bridging Program (G6 to G9) for students ranging from 1.0 to 2.5 at the beginning of the school year.

目前，我校小学部（1年级到5年级）EAL课程，分为Diamonds EAL课程和Stars EAL课程。学生在WIDA测试中的分数介于1.0 到3.0之间的上Diamonds EAL课程，同时WIDA测试中的分数介于3.0 到 5.0之间的上Stars EAL课程。中学部（６年级到９年级）EAL课程，有第２阶段EAL课程和第３＆第４阶段EAL课程。WIDA测试中的分数介于2.0 到3.5之间的上第２阶段EAL课程，WIDA测试中的分数介于3.5 到 5.0之间的上第３＆第４阶段EAL课程。并且，在学年开始时我们会为分数在1.0 到2.5之间的中学部学生（６年级－９年级）提供英语衔接课程。

지금,초등학부(1학년-5학년)EAL 과목은 다이아몬드 EAL과정있고 스타EAL과정도 있는 것입니다. 우리 학생은 WIDA테스트중에 성적은 1.0에서 3.0사이 얻으면  다이아몬드 EAL과정을 하고 3.0에서 5.0사이 얻으면 스타EAL과정을 하는 것입니다.중학부(6학년-9학년) EAL과목은 2단계 과정하고 3&4단계 과정가 있는 것입니다. WIDA테스트중에 성적은 2.0에서 3.5사이 얻으면 2단계 과정를 하고 3.5에서 5.0사이 얻으면 3&4단계 과정을 하는 것입니다.동시에 학년 초에 우리 중학부 학생(6학년-9학년)는 1.0에서 2.5사이 얻으면 이 학생들한테 브리지 프로그램을 제공하는 것입니다.

For next year, we are planning to add an additional higher-level EAL class for both PYP and MYP. For G1 to G2, Diamonds will range from 1.0 to 2.0 in WIDA assessment scores, Stars 2.0 to 3.0, and the new higher-level class will have scored from 3.0 to 4.0. For G3 to G5, Diamonds will range from 2.0 to 3.0, Stars from 3.0 to 4.0, and the new higher-level class will have scored from 4.0 to 5.0. As well, we are planning on offering an intensive Upper-PYP Bridging Program (G3 to G5), for students ranging from 1.0 to 2.0 at the beginning of the school year (similar to the MYP Bridging Program). For MYP (G6 to G9), Level 2 EAL will have WIDA scores ranging from 2.0 to 3.0, Level 3 from 3.0 to 4.0, and Level 4 from 4.0 to 5.0. Also, we will continue to offer the intensive MYP Bridging Program for students ranging from 1.0 to 2.5 at the beginning of the school year.

明年，我们计划为小学部和中学部的学生加一个更高水平的EAL班级。1年级和2年级，Diamonds EAL班级在WIDA测试中的分数将会是1.0到2.0，Stars EAL班级分数会是在2.0到3.0，新的更高水平的班级分数会是3.0到4.0，3年级到5年级，Diamonds EAL班级在WIDA测试中的分数将会是2.0到3.0，Stars EAL班级分数会是3.0到4.0，新的更高水平的班级分数是在4.0到5.0。 同样的，我们计划为3年级到5年级的学生（学年初的成绩在1.0到2.0之间）提供英语衔接课程(和中学部的衔接课程相似)。对于中学部（6年级-9年级），第2级EAL阶段的WIDA分数是在2.0到3.0之间，第3级分数是在3.0到4.0之间，第4级分数在4.0到5.0之间，我们也会在学年初继续为分数在1.0到2.5之间的中学部学生提供英语衔接课程。

내년에,우리는 더 높은 수준 EAL과정을 추가하는 계획이 있는 것입니다.1학년하고 2학년은 다이아몬드EAL과정 성적은 1.0에서2.0사이이고 스타EAL과정 성적은 2.0에서3.0사이입니다.그래서  더 높은 수준과정 성적은 3.0에서4.0까지입니다.3학년에서 5학년까지 , 다이아몬드EAL과정 성적은2.0에서 3.0사이이고  스타EAL과정 성적은 3.0에서 4.0사이입니다.더 높은 수준 EAL과정 성적은 4.0에서 5.0사이입니다.동시에 ,우리는 3학년에서 5학년 학생( 학년초 테스트는 1.0에서 2.0사이 ) 에게 브리지 프로그램을 제공합니다.중학부(6학년-9학년)중에 레벨 2는 성적이 2.0에서 3.0사이이고 , 레벨 3는 성적은 3.0에서 4.0사이이고,레벨4는 성적이 4.0에서 5.0사이입니다.그리고 학년 초 테스트는 1.0에서2.5까지 얻은 학생한테 브리지 프로그램을 제공합니다.

As students’ English abilities improve, they are able to achieve a higher level; for example, if a student previously scored 2.4, and then scores 3.3 on the current test, they would move from level 2 to level 3. Each time a student accomplishes a higher level, they are awarded an EAL certificate of achievement. In most cases, G1 to G2 students scoring 4.0 or higher (level 4) will test out of EAL, while, in most cases, G3 to G9 students scoring 5.0 or higher (level 5) will test out of EAL. After initial WIDA assessment upon entrance into CISH, testing is conducted twice each school year; the test is administered in mid-December before winter break and also in late May.

如果学生的英语水平有所提高，他们便可以进入更高水平的学习。举个例子，如果一个中学生之前的分数是2.4，在最近的考试中取得了3.3的分数，他们便可以从水平2移到水平3的EAL课程班级里。每次当一名学生取得了更高的水平，都会颁发给他们EAL证书。同时，在大部分情况下，1年级到2年级的学生取得了4.0或者更高的分数将会不再需要EAL课程；同时，3年级到9年级的学生取得了5.0或者更高的分数将会不再需要EAL课程。在入学时进行初次WIDA测试之后，每一学年将会有2次WIDA测试；测试将会在每年12月中旬和5月末进行。

우리 학생은 영어 수준을 진보하면 더 높은 레벨을 공부할 수 있습니다. 예를들어서 전에 테스트 성적은 2.4이고 요즘에 3.3를 얻으면 레벨2에서 레벨3 까지 이동할 수 있습니다.이동할때 우리도 증서를 줄것입니다.동시에, 만약 1학년 하고 2학년 학생 성적은 4.0/4.0이상을 얻으면 EAL프로그램을 필요없습니다.3학년에서9학년 학생은 5.0/5.0이상을 얻으면 프로그램을 필요없습니다. 입학할 때 WADA테스트하고 나서 한 학년 중에 2번 테스트를 하는데 겨울 방학 전에 한번 하고 5월마을에 한 번 합니다.
