今天（10月1日）是#国际老年人日#。目前，全世界约有近7亿60岁以上人口。到2050年，这一数字将高达20亿，占世界人口总数的20%以上。发展中国家老年人口的增长将是最多和最为迅速的，亚洲将成为老年人口最多的区域，而非洲老年人口的增长率将居世界首位。2018年主题是：礼赞老年人权卫士。今年是《世界人权宣言》70周年纪念。今年的国际老年人日颂扬《宣言》的重要性，重申促进老年人全面而平等地享有所有人权和基本自由的承诺。 http://www.un.org/zh/events/olderpersonsday/ 

Today(October 1) marks the International Day of Older Persons

Almost 700 million people are now over the age of 60. By 2050, 2 billion people, over 20 per cent of the world’s population, will be 60 or older. The increase in the number of older people will be the greatest and the most rapid in the developing world, with Asia as the region with the largest number of older persons, and Africa facing the largest proportionate growth. 

The theme for 2018 is “Celebrating Older Human Rights Champions.”

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) turns 70 this year and the International Day for Older Persons celebrates the importance of this Declaration, and reaffirms the commitment to promoting the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by older persons.
