Brain break stations:
This week I introduced the concept of ‘brain break stations’ in the kindergarten passages.
大脑休息站:
本周,我在幼儿园的走廊带学生们体验了“大脑休息站”。
This idea is meant to encourage children to engage in short bursts of activity that increase bloodflow and oxygen to the brain.
这个想法是为了鼓励孩子们通过进行短时间的活动,来增加大脑的血流量和氧气,这反过来又促进了大脑对信息进行集中处理和保留。
This in turn improves concentration and retentionof information. It enables the child to step out of the classroom for 3-5 minutes when feeling restless, do a quick ‘brain break’ activity and then go back to class, ready to learn.
当孩子在学习过程中感到烦躁不安时,让孩子走出教室3-5分钟,做一个快速的“大脑休息”活动,然后回到课堂,继续学习。
Each station may have different focus areas, but will mostly focus on strengthening the child’s core muscles and coordination.
