英国政府最近发布了最新的移民政策。新政主要是为了防止对学生签证系统的滥用并提高英国的教育质量。然而，这一政策被错误地解读为阻止所有非欧盟学生在英国工作，但其实这一限制工作权利的新政只针对公立继续教育学院的学生，而目前来自中国大陆的留英学生中只有不到3%在此类学院就读。自2015年8月3日起，这一类别的学生将不再被允许在英国工作。自2015年11月12日起，受影响的学生将不能在英国转成第二或第五层级（工作）签证或延长其第四层级学生签证。而在英国高等教育院校学习的学生并不受此新政影响。

英国将一如既往地欢迎真正的国际学生，而且英国院校对国际学生人数也不会设限。允许国际学生（包括非欧盟学生）在英国积累工作经验的签证规定仍然有效。

The UK continues towelcome genuine international students and there is no limit on the number ofinternational students UK institutions can receive. Visa arrangements to enableinternational students, including non-EEA students, to gain work experience inthe UK remain in place.

The UK Home Officerecently issued an update on immigration rules, which is aimed at preventingabuse of the student visa system and improving the quality of UK education forinternational students. It has been incorrectly reported that this policychange will prevent all non-EEA students from working in the UK. The newproposed restriction on working rights only applies to students atpublically-funded further education colleges, who account for less than 3 percent of all Mainland Chinese students in the UK. After 3 August 2015, newstudents who fall into this category will not be permitted to work in the UK.From 12 November, affected students will not be permitted to switch to a Tier 2or Tier 5 (work) visa while in the UK. Students at higher educationinstitutions are not affected by the new policy.
