If all of your answers are YES! You might be the one we are looking for as Warwick Ambassador!
This September, we’ll be holding our 2nd school visit campaign around China. As Warwick Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to run your own school visit project, and share your passion and professionalism to teachers,parents and students. Last year, the very first Warwick Ambassadors set their footprint in eight cities around China, sharing their Warwick experience and establishing Warwick’s reputation.
WHY SHOULD YOU BE A WARWICK AMBASSADOR?
- It is rewarding! A great opportunity to polish your CV. All the participants in the campaign will be provided with the iconic blue T-shirt and you will be awarded a certificate. And bear in mind, the prestige of Warwick in China will probably lead to better employability for your future!J
- It is challenging! You will be the manager of the project. Through giving the presentation and answering the enquiries from the students, parents & teachers, you will definitely develop your organising and communication skills. If you want to explore your potential, this would be a great opportunity!
- It is fun! We do not want a too serious presentation or boring seminar, but the very personal feeling and experience,for instance, make a video of your daily life! Make it attractive, fun and memorable, you’ll be the centre of attention!
YOUR ROLE AS A WARWICK AMBASSADOR:
- To find the contact: No one knows the school/university better than you. We expect you to contact the teacher/officer. We’ll send the school of our campaign proposal, and confirm the time and venue with them afterwards.
- To prepare the presentation: As someone that has been through the stage of choosing university, you must know what the students want. We do not expect you to know all the entry requirement or syllabus of every course, but do hope that you can share your fruitful experience at Warwick – what societies/sports club are you participating? How is the teaching? How to quickly fit into the Warwick Bubbl eetc.
- To write report: When finishing the campaign, you are expected to send us the report of the school visit.
WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:
- Commitment is essential. As there are many participants involved, we would expect you to be committed once you join the energetic & fun team!
- Be sociable & active. You don’t want the awkward silence during the presentation, do you?
- Be a team player & initiative as you may be working together with your schoolmates.
