　　先通过一个实例来看这种题型的特点，来自剑桥真题7-test1中的第一篇：

　　Complete the summary below.

　　Choose ONE WORD ONLY from the passage for each answer. Write your answers in boxes 6-9 on your answer sheet.

　　Facial vision

　　Blind people report that so-called ‘facial vision’ is comparable to the sensation of touch on the face. In fact, the sensation is more similar to the way in which pain from a ___6___ arm or leg might be felt. The ability actually comes from perceiving ___7___ through the ears. However, even before this was understood, the principle had been applied in the design of instruments which calculated the ___8___ of the seabed. This was followed by a wartime application in devices for finding ___9___.

　　通过以上的实例，summary题的题型特点如下：

　　1、题目会清晰地告诉考生在空格里填几个词(此题是“ONE WORD ONLY”;另外两种可能是NO MORE THAN TWO/THREE WORDS);

　　2、空格里所填的词几乎100%是原文中的原词，因为题目里说到“from the passage for each answer”;

　　3、空格里90%的情况下填的是名词。因为出题人在出题的时候会想方设法通过同义替换的方式把原文中的动词和形容词换掉，从而起到用词不同、句意一致、同时增加难度的效果。而在这种情况下，名词一般不会被换掉，而会变成题目让考生在文章当中寻找。

　　4、填空题的出题顺序和原文的顺序一致。这是雅思考试非常人性化的一种设置，这也为考生做这种题型减少了一定定位上的难度。
