1. 经济背景：澳洲将成为亚洲粮仓
农业行业机会巨大，是澳洲矿业大潮后的新转折点和增长点，可是很多留学生朋友都没有注意到这个趋势。根据澳洲劳动和生产力委员会AWPA公布最新研究报告《澳洲食物饮料劳动力调研》，报告指出2011-12年度，农业产值305亿澳元，占GDP的4%， 占商品贸易的11.5%，其中60%是出口的。但是澳洲劳动力面临短缺，熟练工人需求剧增，政府需要加大培训力度。
澳大利亚有55.3万人口从事农业生产。澳大利亚国内市场狭小，因而其大部分羊毛、牛肉、小麦、奶、糖、葡萄酒、棉花和大麦用于出口到世界各地。澳大利亚最大的农产品出口市场为日本、美国、中国、东盟国家、欧盟、韩国和香港。 澳大利亚也是为世界第一大羊毛和牛肉出口国。澳大利亚的绵羊数量2011年尾7900万只上，人均近4只，是世界上绵羊数量最多的国家，有“骑在羊背上的国家”之称。另外，澳洲肉牛有2700万头，奶牛260万头，牛肉出口和奶制品出口也是最具有价值的产业。

2. 澳洲的农业就业市场
澳洲本地报纸《澳大利亚人报》最近报道2012-2013年度报名农业专业的澳洲本土大学生数量激增15%，澳洲农业常年有4000多个空位虚位以待，但仅有10个澳洲大学每年全部提供700个毕业生，远远不够市场需求，随着农场主的老龄化，导致澳洲农业发展极大受到限制。另外一方面随着亚洲需求增大，专家预测农业有望取代矿业成为就业增长最快的产业。是啊，一个毕业生有6个工作等着，这也太幸福了吧？
