As the London-based European division of a successful and prestigious Chinese investment group, Yuan Zhen is perfectly placed to bridge the UK and Chinese markets. With a senior management team with over 20 years in property development and expertise in hotels, retirement provision and care, and agriculture, Yuan Zhen has extensive management, development and sales experience in the core retail and residential asset classes and in specialist areas including hotels and serviced apartments. In 2010, the group established Yuan Zhen, its European investment unit in London. Yuan Zhen's principal purpose is to utilise its knowledge, assets and expertise to identify and explore opportunities to invest in the UK market.

You will be part of a diverse team responsible for advising and executing business strategies, development plans and potential financing strategies for the company through assessing and analysing the necessary data, budget, policies, organisation procedures and to determine and implement appropriate plan to achieve each stage of the project. 

Given the nature of the strategies involved, the role requires a strong corporate analytical skill, cash flow modeling and quantitative/data analysis background. Familiarity with securitization and/or capital market financing would be a plus. The role will also require fluency in Mandarin as many of the opportunities involve direct contact and due diligence with various Chinese companies. 

It is important and essential that the candidate possesses the ability to test and develop investment case and engage constructively with external partners and internal stakeholders. Successful candidate will also lead the presentation of screening memos, threads and investment recommendations. 

-   Experience working in the financial industry preferably in an investment role

-   Experience in corporate financial analysis, modelling of cash flow and debt financing

-   Fluent mandarin speaker

-   A master degree in quantitative subjects such as statistics, mathematics or physics

-   Minimum GPA 3.5 or 2:1 pass

-   Ideally a CFA holder or someone who has passed all 3 levels

-   High working knowledge of excel, VBA macro and SQL. Experiences in R, SAS and Bloomberg are a plus

-   Strong Word, Power Point skills

-   Experience in private equity is a plus 

-   Enthusiastic self-starter who is ambitious and wants to learn

-   Strong commercial acumen

-   Ability to see the “bigger picture” 

-   Strong communication, persuasion, presentation, and interpersonal skills
