GM Financial International Operations (GMF IO) is a fast growing international company with operations in 20 countries currently. Part of General Motors, we have an asset base of over $20 billion and around 2,200 employees across our international business.
GMF IO offers automotive financing products to dealers and their customers of mainly GM affiliated vehicle brands to provide the best possible range of new and used vehicles. We also provide OEM financing through strategic alliances as well as fleet leasing solutions in selected international markets. Our international operations provide specifically tailored products to meet the needs of local markets globally.
Our IADP programme runs over three years, designed to give you as much exposure to our global operational/functional units as possible to our business. GM Financial International Operations is a large and complex organisation and you will have experience of working in a number of different functions / departments within the business on a rotational scheme of 12 months in 3 phases including one overseas international developmental assignment.
The programme starts on the 2nd January 2017
You will receive competitive earning potential from the start and in the longer term, we are looking for you to be a part of our senior team within the business.
There will be typically three different and demanding work placements with interesting job content and practical experience in areas such as Operations, Risk, Sales & Marketing, Process Excellence, Compliance, Project Management, Treasury and Finance.
We will provide you with a significant investment in three core development modules over three years
You will be mentored from senior managers to support your professional and personal development along with coaching from placement managers, IADP ‘buddy’ (alumni from the previous intake), as well as HR and the IADP Programme Manager
Your placements will build and increase in the level of challenge and complexity and would typically include an opportunity to supervise/manage people later in the programme
At the end of the programme, you will have an opportunity to go into a permanent role or a possibility of a supervisory or managerial position
- Ambitious and talented people with a degree in Business, Finance, Economics or similar (UK equivalent of 2.1 or higher)
- Initial work experience with an international company, ideally in Banking, Finance and Insurance industry
You need to be fluent in English plus fluency in at least two additional languages from the list below:
