最近大家的朋友圈，除了被“小目标”给刷屏以外，不知道还有木有看到一个关于马云的视频？反正关于马云的视频已经够多了，但是这个视频真是掀起了新一波的马云热，这大量的热度都是关于马云的英文。

朋友圈最近被“马云全英文出镜，亲自为举办G20峰会的杭州代言”的视频给刷屏了。
这是一段近五分钟的视频，近日发布在海外社交媒体上。马云一身喜庆的红色T恤，背衬着杭州特有的西溪湿地风光，用一口浓浓杭州腔、但流畅准确的英文口语，征服了网友。
马云为G20杭州峰会代言
其实马云的口语水平是中国人练英文口语最好的范本和目标：不用刻意去模仿老外所谓纯正的英音或美音，但要注意说话时的流畅，即不卡顿、不磕绊、嘴和大脑同步，想到哪就说到哪，用自信和内涵打底。这样的英文能力照样能让老外膜拜。
接下来，我们就来剖析一下马云这段4分钟的代言，精选了一些代表性的语言，教大家如何用极其简单（基本上都是高中词汇水平）来讨论一些有深度的问题。
整个影评分成五个部分“如何评价杭州”、“给20国领导人的信息”、“阿里巴巴为何设立在杭州”、“杭州助力推动新经济”、“对G20峰会的寄语”。
实际上这一部分马云讨论了在历史上杭州就充当了中方和西方的桥梁，当年毛泽东和尼克松就在杭州签署了《中美联合公报》（Joint communiqué of the United States of America and People’s republic of China），然后是选择上海发布。这次杭州G20峰会的标识就是一座桥梁，有很强的寓意，代表着新时期杭州沟通中西方的桥梁作用，给设计师100分。

在这一段中，马云说了这样一句话：
This is the historically meaningful city, a great city that made the West and East meet together, made the great leader of the East and West to sit down together and discuss for the future.
【译】这是一座历史意义深厚的城市，一座伟大的城市。它让中西交融，让中西方领导坐下来，商讨未来。
马云的这句话实际上评述杭州见证了1972年毛泽东和尼克松在杭州会谈，并签订联合公报的历史事件。咱们中国有很多城市都有深厚的历史意义，你就可以用“historically meaningful”这个表达来描述你的城市。
另外，大家不要把“中西交融”这样的概念想的很复杂，马云就用了“West and the East meet together”来表达。“商讨未来”的英文表达也很简洁--“discus for the future”。学到了吗？

这一幕中有三个有代表性的句子：
A lot of people don't like globalization, and I personally believe globalization is a great thing for the world.
【译】很多人不喜欢全球化，但我个人认为全球化对于世界而言有重大好处。
其实我们可以从这句话里面提炼出一个句型：“A lot of people don’t like…, and I personally believe…is a great thing for…”。比如：
很多人不喜欢大声朗读，但我认为大声朗读对英语学习有重大好处。
A lot of people don’t like reading out loud, but I personally believe reading out loud is a great thing for English learning.
The only thing is that how we can improve the globalization to enable more small businesses and more young people to get involved it.
【译】唯一的问题在于，我们如何改进全球化的方式，使它让更多小型企业和更多年轻人参与其中。
这句话里面有个巨实用的英文口语表达：“the only thing is that…”--“关键问题在于…”，在英文中“thing”可以指代“问题”，而“only”表示强调这个问题之关键。比如别人跟你推销产品，你回复说：“问题在于我没钱”，你就可以说“the only thing is that I am broke（没钱）.”
马云还用了一个非常好的句型：“enable…to…”--“让…能够…”，比如：
学好英语让我更多地了解这个世界。
A good command of English enables me to better understand the world.
If we can build up a platform that can enable small businesses an young people to do the free trade, fair trade globally, this gonna be very fundamental for the next 20, or 30 years' world economy and for the century.
【译】如果我们可以打造一个平台，让中小企业和年轻人自由地、公平地在全球做生意，这将对未来20年、30年，乃至整个世纪都有根本性的影响。
越是口语好的人，越能把复杂的概念“大事化小、小事化了”，就是用最最最简单的语言来流畅表达。比如“自由地、平等地在全球做贸易”这个概念，马云用“do trade”，虽然不是很正规，但口语中“表意”是第一位的，who cares用法严不严谨？
然后“自由、平等”就用“free、fair”，再用一个副词“globally”搞定“在世界上”，整句话连起来就是“do the free trade, fair trade globally”，表达十分高效。
另外，“be fundamental for”--“对…产生根本性影响”，这个句型也很棒，记住哦！
It is not because Hangzhou is my hometown, because the city has entrepreneurship, so friendly to the private sectors. And people here are well-educated.
【译】不仅仅因为杭州是我的家乡，因为杭州有企业家精神，而且对私营经济极其友好。人们的教育水平也高。
这段话请大家记住三个名词，很实用嗒：
1）entrepreneurship--企业家精神（entrepreneur--企业家）；
2）private sector--私营经济（实际上这个词的意思指“社会经济中的私营部分”）；
3）well-educated--良好教育的（形容词，其反义词是illiterate，没有受过教育的）
Beijing at that time, government there, and people like SOE(state-owned enterprises). In Shanghai, they like multinational companies. In our city, we like entrepreneurship, we like people from nothing, building it up.
【译】北京在那个时候，因为政府在那边，所以人们更青睐国企；而在上海，人们偏好外企。在杭州，我们喜欢企业家精神，我们喜欢白手起家的人。
这段话小小地黑了北京和上海一把，不过我觉得这本身也是事实。看到杭州这段，我突然被击中了，被一种情怀击中，我身边有太多浙江商人无依无靠，白手起家，从零开始，最后创建了商业帝国，马云如此、宗庆后如此、鲁冠球如此，还有千千万万的浙商整个浙江经济就是一个“屌丝逆袭”的经济。
记住“白手起家的人”的口语表达：people from nothing, building it up. 这里的it也可以用“everything”，指商业成就。

We are a pretty small city, only have close to nine million people, but Hangzhou is so powerful, so influential to China's economy, to China's culture, because in Song Dynasty, we were the capital of China, and at that time, we were the most splendid, and prosperous city in China.
【译】我们的城市很小，人口也才900万，但是杭州对中国的经济乃至中国的文化都产生了巨大的影响。因为早在宋朝，杭州曾是中国的首都，在那个时候，我们是最精彩、最繁荣的城市。
这段话里面的几个形容词用的很棒，大家学习一下：powerful--有威力的；influential--有影响力的；splendid--精彩的；prosperous--繁荣的。
其实这些形容词虽然有点长，但都不难，很实用。使用得当会让你的表达增加很多魅力。
Because of the e-commerce development and internet development, there are a lot of young people who are interested in e-commerce and interested in business all come to the city.
【译】因为电子商务的发展和互联网的发展，有大量对电子商务和商业感兴趣的年轻人来到我们的城市。
在口语中，可以不要用写作里面严谨的句型比如：the development of e-commerce，直接说“e-commerce development”、“internet development”当然也是可以的。另外，“对…感兴趣”--“be interested in”这个实用的高中句型，我们不要忘记哦。
This city has become the center of inspiration, the center of innovation and the center of new economy entrepreneurs.
【译】这座城市成为了灵感中心、创新中心和新经济企业家的中心。
这几个名词用的很棒，概括了杭州未来经济发展的方向：inspiration--灵感；innovation--创新；new economy entrepreneur--新经济企业家

Because of G20, I want Hangzhou to be a city more friendly to the world, and people come in here, bring new ideas and benefit from this culture and understand China better.
【译】因为G20峰会，我希望杭州变成一个对世界更为开放友好的城市。人们来到这里，带来新的灵感，并从这里的文化中受益，从而更好地了解中国。
这段基本上挖不出语言点，都是极其简单的表达，但咋就感觉说的这么好呢？？语言是个很神奇的东西，一些简单的词汇经过合理恰当的排列组合，就是产生或优美、或深刻的句子。这段话完全就是马云的格局、思维方式和底蕴在起作用，让他能排列组合出这样的句子。
所以，英语学的好，一定是两个方面的培养——思维和语言。这就好像一句谚语：“巧妇难为无米之炊”，但如果你具备巧妇般的思维方式和做饭技能（思维），加上丰盛新鲜的食材（语言），那何愁做不出一顿大餐呢？

Hangzhou was lucky enough to be one of the first group of cities open to the world. Because of Nixon and Mao Zedong signed the agreement, so they made Hangzhou open to the world.

Both leaders actually had a lot of （negotiations）. One of the negotiations was done in Hangzhou and the document was made in Hangzhou and announced in shanghai.
实际上，两国领导人之间大量的友好磋商是在杭州进行的，而《联合公报》也是在杭州起草并最终在上海发布。
This is a historically, very meaningful city, a great city that made the west and the east meet together, made the great leaders of the east and the west sit down together, discuss for the future.
这是一座富有历史意义的城市，一座让东西方交融的城市，让东方和西方的领导人们坐在一起共商未来。
I think this G20 meeting has high expectations from the world, especially at this moment of the world economy.

A lot of people don't like globalization. And I personally believe globalization is a great thing for the world.
很多人不认同全球化，而我认为全球化对于世界而言是一件伟大的事情。
The only thing is that how we can improve globalization to enable more small business, more young people to get involve it.
唯一的问题是如何提升全球化，让更多的中小企业和更多的年轻人参与其中。
What if we can use a new mechanism, new technology can enable 1 billion, or 2 billion, or 3 billion people to do trade?
如果我们用新技术和新机制让10亿人，20亿人，30亿人，甚至更多的人参与全球贸易，情况会怎样？

People keep on asking why Alibaba is not in Beijing, why not in Shanghai, (but) in Hangzhou.

Not because it is the city that is my hometown, because the city has its entrepreneurs, it's so friendly to private sectors and people here are well-educated.
是因为这座城市不仅是我的家乡，它还拥有创业精神，包容民营企业的发展，更加聚集了大量的优秀人才。
Beijing, at that time, the government there and people they like the SOE, the state-owned business, shanghai, they like multinational companies.

And our city, we like entrepreneurs, we like people from nothing, building and up. So I think we get great talents, we get good environment, we got the great culture that fighting for the future.
而我们所在的这个城市喜欢创业精神，尊重白手起家的人。我们有优秀的人才，良好的环境， 更有为未来拼搏的伟大文化。
We are pretty small city only have close to 9 million people, but Hangzhou is so powerful, so influential to China economy, to China culture.
杭州规模不大，只有近900万人口，但是杭州却对中国经济和中国文化有着巨大的影响力。
Because in Song dynasty, 1000 years ago, we were the capital of China. And at that time, we were the most splendid and prosperity city in China.
早在1000年前的宋朝，杭州曾是中国的首都。在那个时候，杭州就是中国最辉煌、最繁荣的城市。
Hangzhou today has become the driving force of China new economy, because of e-commerce, because Alibaba we are now more that 70% of the e-commerce in China. We created more than 3 trillion RMB which close to 500 billion USD GMV, that really pumped up the China domestic demanding.

The city becomes the center of inspiration, the center of innovation, and the center of the new economy entrepreneurs.

Because of G20 and B20, I want Hangzhou to be a city more friendly to the world.
通过G20峰会和B20峰会，我希望杭州成为一座对世界更加友好的城市。
People coming here, bring new ideas and benefit from this culture and understand China better.
参会的嘉宾会带来新的理念，也能从这种城市的文明中更好地了解中国。
I feel so proud of, and this city that no matter whatever in the world I go, I always miss it. And every 10 or 15 days, I want to be back.
我为这座城市骄傲，无论我走到世界的哪个角落，我总是会想念它。每隔10天或者15天，我就会想回家。
