1. 约翰霍普金斯大学Johns Hopkins University
Johns Hopkins 是公卫专业里面的NO.1 , JHU的公卫学院设置的专业分支比较细致, 即使已经有流行病学这个分支, 但是学校还是另外设有把微生物技术结合了免疫学的方向。JHU的School of Public Health包括公卫的传统Department，例如： Biostatistics、Environmental Health Sciences、Epidemiology、Health，Behavior and Society、Health Policy and Management、International Health、Mental Health、Population, Family and Reproductive Health。除此之外，JHU的School of Public Health还有两个特别的分支：Department: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology、Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology。
JHU School of Public Health的大部分专业对托福的要求是IBT100，GRE required但是没有注明具体分数要求，成绩单需要WES认证。JHU的Public Health不需要通过SOPHAS来申请。
JHU的学费也是贵的出名，公卫学院的tuition fee 是JH Full-time tuition: $8,736 per term，一年有五個TERM，这样算下来一年要将近5W刀!!
JHU School of Public Health的Doctoral Program有PhD、The Doctor of Public Health(DrPH)、The Doctor of Science(ScD)。
JHU School of Public Health的Master Program有The Master of Health Administration (MHA)、The Master of Health Science (MHS)、The Master of Public Health (MPH)、The Master of Science (ScM) 。

2. 匹兹堡大学Pittsburgh
School of Public Health at University of Pittsburgh设置的Department包括公卫最常见的Epidemiology、Biostatistics、Health Policy & Management、Behavioral and Community Health Science、Environmental and Occupational Health，同JHU相似，它还有两个特别的分支Human Genetics与Infectious Diseases and Microbiology。
从School of Public Health at University of Pittsburgh的录取要求上来看，Pittsburgh大部分Department公卫的MPH，PhD，DrPH学位是需要GRE成绩的，而 MSc与MHA(Master of Health Administration)对GRE不做要求，除了MSc in Epidemiology必须要求GRE。
IBT要求是80 for Admission，但是如果registration at GSPH需要IBT 100，如果没到100 must be tested for English proficiency by the University's English Language Institute (ELI)。
Pittsburgh的公共卫生学院是一定要通过SOPHAS来申请的，就是说成绩单和GT分数要寄到SOPHAS。

明尼苏达大学双子城分校公共卫生学院创建于1944年，目前在校学生680人，全职教授近100人。学院下设生物统计学 (Biostatistics)、环境卫生科学(Environmental Health S c i e n c e s ) 、传染病学与社区卫生(Epidemiology and Community Heal th)、卫生政策与管理(Heal th Policy and Management)四个系。
大部分被CEPH(公共卫生教育协会)认证的公共卫生学院申请都是使用SOPHAS中心的，但也有学校是有自己的单独申请系统。SOPHAS网站统计了每所公共卫生学院的专业分支及学位设置。系统每年9月开通下一年的申请，但一定要记住每个公共卫生学院都有自己的截止日期，所以尽量早申请。所有材料寄送到SOPHAS中心后，需要大约4个星期时间审核并寄送到相应的学校。
