Top 10 Tips: Award-winning (IELTS写作:Ban on dangerous sports. Many award-winning boxing players suffered from permanent brain damages, like parkinson's disease after their career lives.) artist Susanne du Toit
1. Surround yourself with like-minded people (IELTS 口语新近话题 Positive experience you had during your teenager years, Part 3 your suggestions to teenagers 现成答案 )
For me it was important to study art. Not so much to learn things, but just to be in an environment with like-minded people who inspire you. (IETLS口语: A subject you find it is intersting )
It helps to (We usually) bounce ideas off each other and to (I often) get feedback from (him) other people who see things the same way as you (I) do. (IELTS口语: A person you would like to spend time with)
It is so important to learn from others. I visit galleries a lot, just to see good examples of quality (卡尔老师上课说过的哦, spend a quality time with my family or friends) art and artists whose work I admire.
You have to have a source of inspiration from people who are creative. (IELTS口语: Tassk 2 Museum or Art Gallary, 以下文段也可以做reference answer, 小编更着重于可以共用的expression)
2. Find the art form that you love the most
When I do go to galleries, it is always the portraits that engage me the most. (超棒的表达,这个表达是百搭的)I find them to be timeless .You can see different movements and stages in the art scene, but it was always the portraits that remained interesting to me. (another good one)
There was a stage when portraits just weren't very cool, but I remember going to the Glitter and Doom exhibition at the Met in 2006.
It was celebrating the era of the German artists and the way they portrayed and (IELTS口语:Music/Reading)(This particular singer/author/artists) expressed the inner soul of the people with (his/her cutting-edge masterpiece as___)their portraiture.
They really captured the zeitgeist of that era and it inspired me to really try to look for that soul myself in my portraits.
3. Be able to endure working alone
It's a very lonely profession.(Same as Accounting/Finance,indeed) To do what I do, I am always on my own. To be honest,(自然的转折)I prefer to be on my own to work in the studio, but it is a very isolated existence I have to say.
It is especially difficult if you're not in (the university) an art group or art school anymore, you just have to carry on all by yourself.(IETLS口语)
I am not a very sociable person,(IETLS口语,描述一个人好的形容词) so I don't know if that's the sort of person you need to be as an artist, but I am quite introvert and I like just dabbling on my own.(接在前一句之后的描述)
4. Accept your limitations
I had a tutor once who said: "You can only do what you can do." He said that when I was feeling frustrated about my limitations and it was amazing advice - to just accept what you can do and do your best. That advice has always stayed with me. (IETLS口语:用在和某个人的交往或者学习某个学科的过程中)
Sometimes it just goes really well the first time, but sometimes you just cannot get it and then I sand it down so I am left with just the ghost image and have another go.
I really strive to (IELTS写作:= endeavor to ) have a freshness about my paintings and if you work over and over it gets a little bit tight, but it's perfectly ok to scrape it down and start again. (地道的描述如何面对挫折。)
