On Thursday the 8th of March, Kindergarten celebrated International Women’s day with an assembly in the morning and activities and crafts in the homeroom classes in the afternoon. The main aim of the assembly was to challenge the gender stereotypes that exist within different roles in society and develop international mindedness which is an essential tool our IB program.
3月8日(星期四)这天,幼儿园的小朋友们一起庆祝了国际妇女节,他们早上参加了在礼堂举行的集会,下午在教室进行了各种趣味活动,并制作手工艺品。大会的主要目的是让孩子们更多地了解社会上存在的性别歧视现象,培养国际理念,这是我们IB教育计划中重要的一部分。
CISH welcomed: Mrs. Jing Run, a fire fighter;Mrs. Lin Li,a TV Host; Mrs. Eva Tang, a dentist and Mrs. Jane Li,a sales executive.
They all spoke to kindergarteners about what their jobs entail and also offered some good advice from their respective fields.
我们邀请了消防员Mrs. Jing Run、电视主持Mrs. Lin Li、牙科医生Mrs. Eva Tang以及Mrs. Jane Li来到学校。
她们向幼儿园的小朋友们介绍了自己的工作内容,并就自己的领域为大家提供了良好的建议。
We were very lucky to have these ladies come to speak to us and share their experiences. It is important for the students to know that these roles can be filled by both men and women, if that’s what they choose to do one day. What a good way to encourage open mindedness, one of our learner profile attributes!
