为纪念世界地球日,北京美国中心将在学习资源中心放映纪录片“改变美国的10个公园”。这部纪录片讲述了10位愿景家将被遗弃的土地转变成安静祥和的空间,为城市居民创造了暂时摆脱繁忙嘈杂的都市生活的栖息之所。无论是乔治亚州的萨凡纳广场,西雅图高速公路公园,还是举世闻名的纽约中央公园,每一个故事都详细介绍了将这些公园付诸现实的人,以及这个过程中所经历的政治、社会和财务障碍。来北京美国中心,跟我们一起了解美国国家城市公园的发展进程和美国园林建筑的历史,探寻人与自然和谐相处的奥秘!

In honor of Earth Day, the Beijing American Center proudlypresents a screening of the documentary “10 Parks that Changed America”. Thisfilm tells the story of 10 visionaries who transformed unused and oftentimeswild, untamed land into serene spaces that offer city dwellers a respite fromthe hustle and bustle of urban life. From the elegant squares of Savannah,Georgia, to a park built over a freeway in Seattle, to the world-famous CentralPark in New York City, the documentary introduces the people who brought theseparks to life, and the political, social and financial obstacles they had toovercome in order to make their vision a reality. Please join us for a unique chanceto discover the evolution of America’s city parks and to learn more about thehistory of landscape architecture in America.
