Dear University of Sydney Representative, We have been working hard to make improvements in a number of areas. The most recent of these are listed below: 1. SAT or ACT The University of Sydney accepts applications with either SAT or ACT test results, without the need to include Advanced Placement (APs) Tests. A guide to SAT and ACT scores are now published on the University’s website - Guide to International Undergraduate Entry Requirements All students must also complete a Year 12 qualification (High School Diploma) in addition to presenting SAT or ACT results. If the student’s SAT or ACT score meets the requirements for the course, and the student is expected to complete their year 12 qualification, a ‘Conditional Offer’ can be issued subject to completing their Year 12 qualification. Upon receipt of the student’s high school diploma the ‘Conditional Offer’ will be converted to an ‘Unconditional Offer’. Some courses have additional entry requirements, please refer to the University’s Find a Course website for more information. Please don’t forget the University still takes APs into consideration for admission, although the University of Sydney does not offer credit or advanced standing for APs. The SAT or ACT score required can sometimes be slightly lower for students who have 1 or 2 APs (with a score of 4 or better). 2. Digital Documents We have been receiving requests to clarify acceptance of so-called “E Transcripts”. Our position is that as long as the document is an official document issued and transmitted electronically (by email) by the education provider, we can accept it. The normal rules surrounding accepting such documents are still valid. Please see the attached example that shows the features of an acceptable document including: · Logo and Name of the awarding university · Student Details · Name and Level of the program · Degree Award Details Our goal, as always, is to improve what we do and how we do it. If you need further clarification please feel free to contact us on:[email protected] Thank you for your continued support!
