The Groundbreaking Ceremony of Canadian International School of Hefei（ CISH ）Second Phase Project has commenced today.

The heads of departments of the municipal government, The heads of departments of high-tech zone, heads of school of high-tech zone , the heads of the Union Schools under the AKD International Education Inc., representatives of the construction unit and friends from the press are also attended this ceremony.

Canadian International School of Hefei, established with the approval of Anhui Provincial Department of Education, is the first and only international school in Anhui Province. Since the beginning of the school in 2014, with the care and support of all levels of government and all sectors of society, the school has devoted itself to international education. It has been accredited with IB authorization which has the highest recognition in the global education field. CISH has become an important window for attracting foreign investment in Hefei, and also one of the representatives of the development of international education in Hefei and even in Anhui Province.

Dr. Francis Pang , Chairman of AKD International Education Inc said in his speech: Education is a cause which involves every one and every family, and is essential to national interest and people’s livelihood. Therefore I believe education is a noble cause. Mr. Jean-christian Brilliant, Deputy Consul-General of The Consulate General of Canada in Shanghai , first on behalf of the Government of Canada, expressed his gratitude to the Hefei high-tech zone for the introduction of the project and thanked AKD Group for bringing Canadian quality education to China. AKD affliated schools have set up a great model to showcase the integration of Canadian and Chinese education system in China, and it's also a good sample of close cooperation between Canada and China in the field of education. There's a lot more happening between our two countries. China is Canada's second-largest single-country trading partner. Two-way merchandise trade between Canada and China reached $85.8 billion in 2016. All this shows that for Students with both Canada and China education will have great opportunities after graduation. So CISH phase two is right on time. Mr. Jean-christian Brilliant also said he hope to see the official opening soon.

The second phase construction of Canadian International School of Hefei is a magnificent undertaking that benefits millions of families and concerns the long-term development of international education. It is also a practical action to build a world-class district and attach the importance to the international education. It will promote the further improvement of the quality of education in Hefei, push the education work of Hefei to a new level, and provide strong support and guarantee for the investment promotion and the development of being an international metropolis for Hefei.
