UK-China Judicial Cooperation

金融城市聚焦思想 —— 中英司法互动交流会

The British Consulate-General Shanghai, together with the Great Britain China Centre, will host a talk on the theme of UK-China Judicial Cooperation this week with senior representatives from the UK judiciary. Our speakers will discuss the UK- China Judicial Roundtable, hosted in Shanghai this year. Sir William Blair will also introduce his work on China’s Supreme People’s Court International Commercial Expert committee.

The event will be an opportunity to find out about how the UK and Chinese judiciaries are working on common goals and shared problems. It will be particularly suited to those with an interested in international affairs, or from a legal background.

英国驻上海总领事馆，携手英中协会将于本周10月26日举办一个中英司法互助活动。届时，我们将邀请来自英国最高法院的资深代表，探讨今年在上海举办的中英司法圆桌会议，其中Sir William Blair还会介绍他在中国最高人民法院国际商业专家委员会的工作。这次活动提供了一个互通困境、合作共进的交流平台，诚邀对国际事务感兴趣或者拥有法律背景的有志之士参加。

The Rt Hon Lord Hodge

Justice of the Supreme Court

of the United Kingdom

Lord Hodge became a Justice of The Supreme Court in October 2013. Prior to his appointment to the Supreme Court in April 2013, he was one of the Scottish Intellectual Property Judges. He is one of the two Scottish Justices of The Supreme Court.

2013年10月，Lord Hodge被任命为英国最高法院法官。在这之前，他曾是苏格兰知识产权法官。他是最高法院法官两位苏格兰法官之一。

Sir William Blair

Professor of Financial Law

and former High Court judge

Sir William Blair retired as a High Court Judge on 1 December 2017 to take up a position as Professor of Financial Law and Ethics at Queen Mary, University of London. In 2018, he was appointed to sit part-time as a Deputy Judge of the High Court of Hong Kong. He is the member of China’s Supreme People’s Court International Commercial Expert Committee.

2017年12月，Sir William Blair从高等法院退休，并接任了伦敦大学学院下属玛丽女王学院金融法律和伦理教授职位。2018年，他被任命为香港高等法院兼职副法官。他是中国最高人民法院国际商业专家委员会成员。

As a fluent Mandarin speaker, she holds degrees in Chinese Studies from Oxford University and Development Studies from the London School of Economics. GBCC works to strengthening develop the UK-China relationship through a unique mix of practical,effective projects with high-level policy dialogues, including the UK China Judicial Roundtable.

2017年起任中英协会执行董事。中文流利，曾获牛津大学中国研究学位和伦敦政治经济学院发展研究学位。中英协会致力于通过举办一系列高端对话活动，增进中英关系，包括司法圆桌会议等。
