Illuminating Silverstone!
The flashing lights and neons of the MGCC Glo Car competition are back!
Flashing lights, whirly things, Glo sticks, flags, woofers, tweeters, streamers, torches, cycle lights, bubbles and plenty of sellotape. All these things are found on the cars entered in the ImproGlo Class of the annual MGCC Glo Car Competition which is held at the After Hours party on Saturday night. This year we are particularly hoping for some MG90 themed entries as you prepare to decorate your cars.
The competition is free to enter and open to any MG. All you need do is bring your car to the social marquee between 7pm and 8pm on Saturday evening and dress with anything to make a spectacular show as dusk falls.
Anything goes in this class apart from naked flames, so no flame , candles or lanterns please. We want as much noise and light as possible so get your thinking caps on, pop down to your local pound shop and stock up on anything that flashes.
Of course you may be one of those who has fitted light and sound systems to your MG in which case the ProGlo class is the one for you. This is where you can really impress the MG crowd with your lasers and neons. Again bring your car to the Social Marquee between 7pm and 8pm and you will be parked up ready to illuminate the night sky.
Last year’s winner, Nick Holland, will be our guest judge and we hope he’ll be bringing his fantastic ProGlo ZR along to help with the MG90 Illuminations but don’t worry as it won’t be taking part in the competition itself! The trophies will be awarded after Queen and before the disco finale.
