威尼斯双年展（La Biennale di Venezia）是一个拥有上百年历史的艺术节，是欧洲最重要的艺术活动之一。并与德国卡塞尔文献展（Kassel Documenta）、巴西圣保罗双年展（The Bienal Internacional de Sao Paulo）并称为世界三大艺术展，其资历在三大展览中排行第一。被人喻为艺术界的嘉年华盛会。

第120届威尼斯国际艺术双年展于5月开幕。伦敦艺术大学校友Sarah Lucas，教授 Isaac Julien, Sonia Boyce, Lucy Orta以及伦敦艺术大学博士生Samson Kambalu，课程主任Tania Kovats，校友Charles Lim 和 Tsang Kin-Wah组成的团队，代表英国参加了此次活动。

The 120th Venice Biennale opens in May with Great Britain represented by UAL alumna Sarah Lucas, alongside works by UAL Chairs Isaac Julien, Sonia Boyce, and Lucy Orta, as well as UAL PhD student, Samson Kambalu, course leader Tania Kovats, and alumni Charles Limand Tsang Kin-Wah.

“如何抓住我们这个时代面临的不安，使其被理解，被探究，被表达？”这是第56届国际艺术展览策展人Okwui Enwezor，在今年威尼斯国际艺术双年展介绍中提出的问题。此次艺术年展名为“全世界的未来”，旨在“对艺术、艺术家与现实的关系做出全新评价”。

“How can the current disquiet of our time be properly grasped, made comprehensible, examined, and articulated?” This is the question that Okwui Enwezor, curator of the 56th International Art Exhibition, poses in his introduction to this year’s Venice Biennale. Taking the title All the World’s Futures, proposes “a project devoted to a fresh appraisal of the relationship of art and artists to the current state of things.”

应Okwui邀请，伦敦艺术大学主任Sonia Boyce在本次展览中呈现了“精致的噪音”，一段直播的，现场编辑的，以声音为主的记录表演，主演为Astronautalis和 Elaine Mitchener。该表演是在伦敦艺术大学的支持下，对V&A博物馆中所发生事件的记录。

Invited by Okwui to participate in All the World’s Futures, UAL Chair Sonia Boyce presented Exquisite Cacophony,a filmed, live, improvised vocal-led performance featuring performers Astronautalis and Elaine Mitchener. Filming for the piece took place at the V&A, supported by UAL.
