Cooking Club Italy Station Spaghetti

2014.11.3, 本学期的第二次烹饪俱乐部活动。此次的主题是意大利的意大利面,经过了前三周加方校长Chad关于制作的流程讲解、调料的介绍等,各个小组在周末已经自行讨论好想做的口味并准备好了食材。

On November 3rd, the grade 11s had their second cooking activity. This time, the chosen theme is Italys famous food, spaghetti. Every group discussed about the flavor and ingredients to be used for their home made spaghetti.

本次活动中有些改动,小组在规定时间内做好,由老师们来品尝并且给各组评分。不像第一次做饺子时的茫然,各个小组经过了充分的准备显得游刃有余,于是一上课,分工明确,所有人都投入到自己的工作中。只用了一小时的时间,大家都已经基本准备就绪了。

After they finished cooking spaghetti, the teachers are the judges and tasted their spaghetti. Withe all the preparations the students did, the competition started, and every member did a great job.

第一组准备了两道菜,一道是餐前沙拉,用秘制的酸奶泥浇在水果和生菜上,第二道意大利面添加了中国特色,用葱姜蒜爆锅,以番茄为主材料加肉和各种辅料在锅里熬上一小时。最后浇在煮好的面上。

The first group prepared two dishes, Salad and Chinese style spaghetti, which use garlic and ginger. They fried the meat and poured the tomato and other spices as sauce.

第二组做的是红酱意大利面,把煎好的培根和准备好的番茄为主的秘制酱料和各种辅料像芝士等撒在煮好的意大利面上。

The second group made Red Sauce Spaghetti, filled with fried bacon and seasoned tomato sauce and cheese.

第三组同学了两种不同的意大利面,分别为炒意面和红酱意面,并配有蒜蓉面包。

The third group cooked two types of spaghetti: Fried Spaghetti and Red Sauce Spaghetti with garlic bread.

第四组做的白酱意大利面,把化好的黄油和其他辅料熬好, 加上煎好的培根肉,一同撒在面上。

The fourth group made Cheese Spaghetti, they used butter and other spices with fried bacon as sauce and poured on the spaghetti.

最终经过4位评委老师们从食物的美观程度、味道、小组合作分工、英语介绍等各方面进行了严格的评选,第三组-孙予组获得冠军。通过本次烹饪比赛同学们既了解了意面不同做法,更了解了许多西餐的调料英文单词,这次的烹饪俱乐部活动在欢呼声中圆满结束了,期待下月的美食。

Finally, the judges marked the spaghetti by presentation and cooperation. At last,Lilys group won the contest. From the competition, the students learned the English terminologies of the spices and have practiced the cooking skills. It was indeed a successful activity. We cant wait for the next one in December!
