The Project Management team at AAM manage a diverse portfolio of projects including end to end delivery of software to our customers, inward facing projects that invest in internal improvements and innovative new initiatives to grow the set of products we offer, sometimes in collaboration with external parties.
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing a portfolio of projects through the entire lifecycle, choosing the most appropriate approach given each project’s objective and characteristic.
For inward facing projects and new initiatives the PM ensures project objectives are clear and that the project approach that best fits the project is identified. As before the PM is responsible for the entire, end to end delivery. This may involve every department in the company including Legal, Engineering, Software Development, Commercial, Product Management, Systems Development, Support Services and Partner Management. As a result stakeholder management, identifying internal and external stakeholders and understanding their drivers, constraints and involvement is critical to success. Furthermore excellent people skills are required to facilitate collaboration between the teams, build relationships and draw people from across the company together to deliver on the project’s objectives.
Finally, Project Managers play an active role in the AAM organisation, identifying opportunities to improve and being key drivers of the continual improvement movement.
This role reports to the Programme Director
- Manage multiple projects through the entire lifecycle to specification, time and budget.
On a per project basis:
- Agree project approach, adapting project organisation and communication plans as required to deliver in the most effective way
- Facilitate creation and validation of delivery plans
- Negotiate priority and scheduling of deliverables with Product Owners, partners and other stakeholders
- Creating and maintaining project artefacts to track project progress, engaging with Scrum Masters, Tech Leads, Product Owners for updates as required
- Identify and manage issues, risks, dependencies and constraints
- Communicate project progress key issues and risks
- Ensure timely and effective escalations
- Manage stakeholder expectations
- Organise all project team meetings including agenda, minutes and recording of actions
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
Additionally, for externally facing projects:
- Manage project scope according to the contract
- Manage customer communication (partnering with Commercial when required)
- Liaise with Finance to ensure the effective invoicing of customers and payments to suppliers
As a Project team member
- Drive continuous improvement within the organisation,
- Extend or refine project management tools, processes and standards with support from the Programme Director
- A minimum of 6 years experience working as a software project manager in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships

- Experienced in balancing multiple priorities,
- Organised and capable of keeping track of and co-ordinating multiple moving parts
- Proven ability to deliver
- Track record of solving problems
- Formal Agile certification e.g. Certified Scrum Master
- PRINCE2 Practitioner
- Experience delivering for external customers e.g. in a consultancy
- Experience working with both remote and collocated teams.
- General understanding of software development including testing and quality assurance
- Understanding of networks and client / server architectures
- Experience of implementing organisational change
- Passionate about cinema
- An ability to speak Mandarin would be advantageous
- The ideal candidate will possess excellent Software Development Project Management and documentation skills
- They will be cooperative, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude with a high level of ownership and tenacity with a can-do attitude
- Good technical knowledge with the ability to explain technical solutions / issues to both technical and non-technical customers is essential as is the ability to be flexible on work hours as and when business needs evolve
