At CloudFlare, our globally distributed network is core to what we do. Our Systems Reliability Engineering (SRE) team is responsible for making sure that our network is running smoothly today and that we are prepared for our growth tomorrow. We are looking for a talented Systems Reliability Engineer fluent in Mandarin to join the team. In this role, you will get exposure to running and building a globally distributed network. You will monitor systems and application performance. You will build tools to constantly improve availability, performance, uptime and response times. You will support our current systems by participating in an on-call rotation. The ideal candidate understands how the web works and has a strong knowledge of DNS, linux, SSL, bash and python. This is a great opportunity to be part of a small team building and running a high growth network. 

-   2 years of relevant work experience

-   Linux systems administration

-   Scripting experience including Shell, Python, PHP

-   Familiarity with web environments including HTTP, SSL, DNS, SQL

-   Network fundamentals DHCP, ARP, subnetting, routing, firewall

-   Experience with Linux Kernel and packaging

-   Performance analysis and debugging with tools like  perf, sar, strace, dtrace

-   Configuration management systems such as Saltstack

-   Load balancing and reverse proxy technologies such as Nginx

-   Three or more years experience in Python or PHP

-   SQL databases (Postgres)

-   Time series databases (OpenTSDB, graphite)

-   Key / Value stores (Redis, KyotoTycoon)

-   Internetworking and BGP

-   Experience with network programming in C, C++ or Go

-   Experience with rapid release engineering

-   Experience working in a 24/7/365 service environment

-   Networking or routing experience
