Valextra is an internationally renowned Italian luxury brand specialising in leather products with distinctive shapes, designed for the comfort of sophisticated and cosmopolitan clientele. The business has a growing number of boutiques in the USA, Asia and Europe including a recently opened store in London.

This key role is primarily responsible for the business development of the Chinese market in the UK. The will include representing and promoting the Valextra brand and product, identifying sales leads and proactively networking and maintaining good relationships with clientele. Based at Valextra's flagship store in London, the role will also be responsible for the management and delivery of a guaranteed, luxury customer experience in line with the Valextra brand including first contact, in-store events and experiences and follow up communications. Key responsibilities are:

Chinese Market Development

·Deliver personal monthly Sales revenues in line with targets

·Identify and network with potential Chinese customers and third parties (tour agents and operators) to develop and retain new business.

·Organize and attend in-store events with potential Chinese customers to promote brand and products

·Provide a guaranteed luxury customer experience to customers during their visits to the store

·Create relationships with new customers through Chinese social network (i.e. WeChat)

Boutique

·Provide all customers with a luxury-level service in line with the Valextra brand

·Participate and contribute to the store budgeting process as a member of the Boutique Sales Team

·Assist the Director/Assistant Manager in maintaining staff information and communication

·Support the store to achieve the annual Stock Adjustment Plan and target

·Become fully conversant with and consistently practice all procedures relating to the ordering and processing of goods and paperwork within the store

·Participate in store audits and assist in the implementation of recommended actions to ensure the store reaches the required rating standards

·Ensure that Visual Merchandising standards are achieved and that all products are displayed in accordance with company policy

·Ensure customer complaints are dealt with in accordance with company policy

·Fluent Chinese speaker and ideally some ability in Japanese

·Degree in Fine Arts with sensibility for design and architecture

·Knowledge of the tourist sector including tour guides and travel operators

·Demonstrable experience of at least two years’ retail experience preferably with a luxury brand in the UK and/or Asia
