For Sourced Products and Components for the European Market: improve Supplier Process Quality & measure and report Supplier Quality Metrics

Manage Supplier Qualification

Prioritize SQE audit activity driven from Supplier Scorecard data analysis for sourced products and components (together with the European Quality team)

Train and develop suppliers (as needed)

Manage internal customer complaint and warranty follow up (sourced products)

Management for REA process for EU sourced products

Lead continuous improvement internally (GSM) and externally (Suppliers)

Prioritize and lead warranty teardown activity and engineering issue follow up

Working as Lead Quality resource within the GSM/Plant SQE teams

Manage audits (on SQA/SA/CAPA): develop prioritized audit plan and review with SQE teams to reach regional annual goals; collect and review audit reports in order to provide necessary coaching to auditors; train SQE's as required; maintain audit reports in audit database and review quarterly

Manage Pre-Shipment Inspection

Focus team resource to top quality issues/suppliers; Provide time spent analysis of the team

Lead best practice in GSM/Plant SQE teams and develop/improve team skill including the following: Root cause analysis; Preventive action plan development; LEAN/SFS; 6 Sigma; Training plan/tracking

Provide supplier training, includes: GR&R, CPK, REA (Request Engineering Action) Process, SPC, Doc maintain/control for Production Approval (Quality Book/SQA-015/PQP/PPAP)

Key Metrics: Sourced Products for EU Wx PPM; Warranty recovery for Sourced products; Service Levels for EU Plants created by Supplier Quality Issues.

Relevant Higher Degree (commercial support, MBA; advantage: mechanical / electromechanical degree)

Typical 5-10 years of experience in a similar role / process experience in quality engineering

Proven track record in supplier / quality management area

Experience with negotiating with suppliers; able to negotiate quality improvements with international partners (including China, India), able to in different cultural environments

High emotional intelligence

Understanding of engineering, background in the following industries: telecommunications / computer industry / electronics appliances (power tools)

Excellent English language, additional languages are a plus: Mandarin, Indian

Global travel required - up to 20-30% (including China, India)
