Would you like to be part of research collaboration team between University of Leeds and a leading Chinese University? Do you have knowledge of corporate and financial law including international and comparative research? Are you experienced in presenting research findings to professional and/or academic audiences?

You will work with Professor Gerard McCormack, Dr Jingchen Zhao and other colleagues in the Centre for Business Law and Practice (CBLP) on the ESRC funded project Boosting growth through strengthening investor and creditor protection in China: How China can learn from the UK experience.

You will work with and support the Leeds team by conducting essential research; some project administration; establishing research collaborations; organising events and engaging with academic, practitioner and policy communities and contributing to the writing of project outputs and other deliverables. You will also support the CBLP and School in establishing related research collaborations, developing and delivering teaching, and organising events related to the subject area. With relevant academic knowledge in the broad field of financial law and regulation, you will have excellent analytical and writing skills. The ability to work both alone and also as part of a team is essential, along with strong organisational skills and the ability to deal with a variety of tasks to set deadlines.

This post is an excellent opportunity for your own professional academic development, so you will also be supported to develop your own publications and research proposals and teaching potential. The post may involve some travel and stays away from home, for example to undertake fieldwork or attend national or international conferences.
