The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) Healthcare business offers customised market intelligence and strategic advisory services to healthcare clients. We help medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare service firms understand their current and potential markets, and implement pragmatic and innovative strategies to tap into new growth opportunities. We are looking for a Principal Consultant to join our team in London.
Accountabilities
In this role you will be expected to:
• Supervise a team of healthcare associate and analysts on multi-country projects in the areas of market opportunity assessment, go-to-market strategy, customer insights, channel optimization strategy and competitive benchmarking
• Work with the Business Development executives to develop winning proposals from leads and RFP's
• Liaise with clients during the course of the project engagement, including communicating project updates, presenting key milestones, pre-empting project issues and managing client stakeholders
Experience
To succeed in the role you must have:
• 8+ years of relevant experience in healthcare business consulting
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from top tier universities, preferably Science major, with an MBA
• Exceptional command of written and spoken English, good command of business Mandarin is a plus
• Excellent people skills, with the ability to motivate teams and work well with people at all levels in the organization
• Experience managing a dynamic team
You will be able to demonstrate
• A proven track record in project management and client handling, preferably in the healthcare sector or in business consulting
• A proven track record in nurturing and mentoring middle managers
• Versatility and creative thinking
• Excellent analyst skills
• Excellent organizational and time managment skills
• Ability to work in a fast pace team structure and
