AmCham Southwest will provide comments on the USTR proposed tariffs list and welcomes input from AmCham member companies. According to the official announcement, USTR welcomes comments with respect to any aspect of the proposed action, including:
The specific products to be subject to increased duties, including whether products listed in the Annex should be retained or removed, or whether products not currently on the list should be added.
The level of the increase, if any, in the rate of duty.
The appropriate aggregate level of trade to be covered by additional duties.
USTR asks that commentators also address whether tariffs on specific products would be “practicable or effective to obtain the elimination of China’s acts, policies, and practices and whether maintaining or imposing additional duties on a particular product would cause disproportionate economic harm to U.S. interests, including small-or medium-size businesses and consumers”.
西南美国商会将就关税清单问题向美国贸易代表处（USTR）提供意见，现希望集思广益，听取各位会员朋友的意见和建议。根据USTR的官方声明，欢迎大家就以下几个方面进行提议：
建议提高关税的产品，其中包括：是否应保留或者剔除已经在征收关税名单内的产品，以及是否需要添加某种产品到名单中；
关税提高水平，最好以税率方式表达；
需要征加附加税的贸易总额适当水平；
USTR要求提议者指出对特殊产品征收的关税是否“可以有效遏制中国行动，政策和表现，以及对特殊商品征收关税是否会对美国利益造成经济上的损失，其中包括美国中小企业和消费者的损失。”
