How many hours do you spend on listening to audio content every day?
Did you know that more than 977 million people in China – that’s 72 percent of the population – listen to music every week?
According to a 2016 survey of the country's listening habits by BBC.com, the average Chinese consumer enjoys 16 hours of music per week, while Australians spend around 24 hours weekly.
Livestream company Pandora conducted a survey in 2017 called ‘Share of Listening – Australia’. In the research, they found that Australians spend around 3.4 hours a day listening to audio content.
Australia’s love for listening
Other than traditional tourism activities, lots of visitors to Australia choose to attend musical events.
According to Tourism Research Australia's International Visitor Survey, almost half of all overseas visitors attended at least one cultural attraction while in Australia. Around 20 percent of them attend theatre, concerts or other performing arts!
You may have heard of the famous Melbourne International Jazz Festival and WOMADelaide, but here are two musical festivals you can’t miss in 2018:
Splendour in the grass
An Australian music festival that has been held annually near Byron Bay since 2001.
Groovin’ the Moo
An annual music festival that is held in six regional centers across Australia.
Designing the perfect listening experience
Other than an extraordinary performance, a pair of professional in-ear monitors (IEM) earphones plays a significant role. There’s a big advantage when using IEMs instead of floor monitors for heavy dancing and singing performers, especially for those shows with intense choreography.
Musicians wearing IEMs get a custom mix tailored to their tastes, in order to clearly hear themselves, other musicians, and ambient sounds as well.
Audiofly — is an Australian headphones brand.
Since 2012, Audiofly innovative IEMs and consumer headphones have been a hit with artists, audio enthusiasts, reviewers and every day music lovers in Australia and around the world.
