金秋十月是多彩的季节，我们不仅迎来了祖国母亲的生日，更在实验园里秋色旖旎中，有了自己新的认识和收获。

October is the month in which Autumn is colorful, we not only celebrated the birthday of our motherland, but also learned a lot in this amazing campus of Changchun Experimental High School. 

逐渐适应了国际部学习生活的同学们迎来了10月的德育主题--尊重。对于新加入国际部大家庭的他们来说，在9月需要规范自己的行为习惯之后，最重要的就是让学生们懂得尊重他人。成才先成人也是国际部教育的信条，让学生懂得尊重他人，待人以善，才能培养出高素质的国际人。10年级A班在班助韩瑞茜的带领下召开了本次班会，并进行了一个心理小测试，让同学们感受到了尊重的重要性。随后，全班同学用爱心卡片写下一个愧对的人及原因或一件后悔的事，将理解与尊重进一步放大。最后，班主任Kalista对本次班会进行总结，希望孩子们能相互尊重、团结，让这个班变得更加美好。

Students who have gradually adapted to international study and life ushered in the theme of moral education titled Respect in October. For new members of the International Division, the most important thing for them is to learn how to show respect for others after they have learned how to discipline themselves in September. It is also the principle to be a qualified international person before to be a person with knowledge. 10A held this class meeting under the leadership of Rachel and conducted a psychological test, which deepen students’ understanding on respect. Then the class wrote down a person’s name who they felt sorry for and wrote down a small thing done before which they felt a little regretful in a love card, which will further strengthening understanding and respect among classmates. Finally, Kalista made a summary for the class meeting and hoped that the children will respect each other and collectively create a better environment for study.

10年级B班的班会由班主任Sherry老师主持，学生们围绕“我们需要一个什么样的班集体，如何建立互相尊重的班集体”分组进行激烈讨论，并积极发言。之后班级集体制作 板报写心愿卡。希望大家通过这次班会体会到尊重的重要性，希望10B的大家庭能磨合的更好。

The class meeting for 10B is hosted by teacher Sherry. The students have a heated discussion about "what kind of class we need and how to set up a class that respects each other" and students made a positive speech. After class meeting, student collectively made board newspapers and wrote wish cards. We hope students can realize the importance of respect through this class meeting, and hope that 10 B will become a big and harmonious family.

10月1日是祖国母亲的生日，身为一名中国人，我们每一个人都应该为我们强大的祖国感到骄傲。对于国际部的同学来讲，祖国对我们的意义就更外重要，所以11年级十月德育主题为爱国，为此11 A班召开了关于爱国为主题的班会，此次班会由两名班主任助理Fiona, Hope合作完成。两名同学从如何定义爱国讲起，告知同学们什么是爱国及如何表达爱国热情。然后选取两个不同的角度向同学们诠释爱国。一个为国家宝藏视频剪辑，从中国历史文物角度出发去表达爱国情怀；另一个为中华美食视频，介绍中国特色食物北京烤鸭在美国的传播及得到的关注。学生们通过观看两个视频，拓宽了对于爱国这一概念的理解思路，更加真切的了解了该如何去表达爱国。

October 1 is the birthday of our great motherland,China. As a Chinese, each of us should be proud of our prosperous motherland. For the students in international department, China to us means more. Therefore, the theme of moral education in October for grade 11 students is patriotism. For this reason, Class 11A held a class meeting on the theme of patriotism. The class meeting was held by two assistant head teachers, Fiona with the assistance of Hope. Starting with how to define patriotism, the two students shared with their classmates what patriotism was and how to express it. Then they selected two different aspects to explain patriotism to their classmates. A video clip for national treasure is also available, Patriotism is also interpreted from the perspective of Chinese historical relics ; Another is the Chinese food video, Chinese food, Beijing roast duck, also gains its popularity in the United States and attract their attention. By watching two videos, students broaden their understanding on the concept of patriotism and learn more about how to express patriotism.

在班主任老师Gail的策划下，11A 的同学们展开了中国地图知识比拼和诗词大赛，同学们通过游戏的形式学习到每个省份的简称以及相对应的地图位置，也累积了诗词，让爱国不只是口号，而是变成知识, 从而去了解我们的祖国。

 11A students started the Chinese map knowledge competition and poetry contest， a plan come up with by Gail. The students learned the abbreviations of each province and its corresponding locations in the map through the games, and memorized poems. Patriotism is not just a slogan, but also a kind of knowledge for us to understand our motherland more.

11年级B班的主题班会由班长董源祎和班主任助理曹钦宏共同组织。两位同学首先带领大家回顾我国从古至今的经典历史和在世界的影响。同时以互动的形式向同学们提出问题，掌握我国发展进程中的重要历史事件。最后，通过对我国当代科技发展的介绍，让学生进一步了解祖国的强大力量。身为即将迈出国门的我们，深感国家带给我们的自豪和力量，我们将在祖国的庇护下，带着家国情怀走向世界。

The theme of the class meeting for 11B was jointly organized by Dereck and Alex . These two students first led us to review the history of our country from ancient times to modern days and its influence on the world. At the same time, the students were asked questions in the form of interaction to grasp the important historical events in the development process of our country. Finally, through the introduction of the development of contemporary science and technology in China, the students further understood the power of our motherland. As we are about to step out of our country, we feel the pride and strength our country brings us deeply, and we will be involved in the world with the feelings of home and country under the protection of our motherland with patriotism.

对于即将毕业的12年级同学，我们通过对于中国文化更深层次的了解来表达对祖国的热爱，所以12年级的德育主题为弘扬国粹。12A的主题班会由班长苏秦业和班助张凯雯，徐艺嘉共同主持。通过对中国京剧脸谱，中药，书画等特色的介绍，让学生们了解中国文化的多元化，增强学生文化知识储备。

For the students in Grade 12 who are about to graduate, we express our love for our motherland through a deeper understanding of Chinese culture. Therefore, the theme of moral Education in Grade 12 is to carry forward the quintessence of our country. The theme of class meeting for 12A will be held by Martin, the monitor of the class and  Kathy and Christine. By introducing the features of Chinese Peking Opera facial composition, Chinese traditional medicine, calligraphy and painting, students can understand the diversity of Chinese culture and accumulate their cultural knowledge reserve.

金秋的实验园风景如画，秋叶更是一绝，为了既符合德育主题又不负园中美景，12A开展了用学校的秋叶来创作国粹画的活动，同学们都觉得这个活动既有创意还很有趣，纷纷以小组的形式去校园里采摘了自己喜欢的叶子作画，创作完毕后, 班主任Angie老师带领国际部所有老师进行不记名投票，选出了班级第一名。

The campus of Changchun Experimental High School is picturesque, and the leaves are really amazing. In order not to miss the beautiful scenery of the school campus and prompt the theme of moral education, 12A students carried out an activity of using the autumn leaves of the school to create national paintings. The students thought that the activity was not only creative but also very interesting. One after another, they went to the campus in groups to pick their favorite leaves for painting. After their creation of works, the teacher, Angie, took the lead and all the teachers in the international division voted by secret ballot, and select the first in the class.

高三B班在班委的主持下进行了弘扬国粹主题班会。武术、中医、书法、京剧是中国的四大国粹，本周班会主要了解了国粹京剧的四个表演角色生、旦、净、丑及脸谱的不同颜色代表意义。并了解了以梅兰芳为代表的四大京剧表演艺术家的生平。之后班主任selene老师介绍了中国的四大名绣、十大名茶等需要了解的中国基本常识，并了解宫廷剧中人物的服饰、头饰及用品的制作工艺，同学们通过视频介绍，深感中国人的工匠精神和中国国粹的博大精深，愿即将留学的你们能够弘扬国粹，传播中华文明。

Grade 12B also had their class meeting, aimed at prompting the quintessence of Chinese culture. Martial arts, traditional Chinese medicine, calligraphy and Peking Opera are the four most popular Chinese operas in China. Class meeting focused on the four acting characters of the Chinese opera, including Sheng, Dan, Jing, Chou and the significance of different colors they present. The life of Mei Lanfang as one of four Peking Opera performing artists has been further understood. After that, teacher Selene introduced basic knowledge of four Chinese famous embroideries, the top ten famous teas in China, the costumes, hair accessories and their techniques for production in imperial court. The students introduced them by video and were deeply aware of the craftsman spirit of the Chinese people and the essence of Chinese culture. We really hope students can spread Chinese culture around the world.

 通过班会上对主题班会的学习，同学们对京剧脸谱十分感兴趣，Selene老师组织学生们进行了DIY京剧脸谱的创意大赛，同学们都根据自己的理解和想象创作了自己喜欢的脸谱。

Through the study of the theme class at the class meeting, the students were very interested in the Beijing Opera Facial makeup. Teacher Selene organized students to have a creative competition of the DIY Peking Opera Facial makeup, and the students created their favorite Facial makeup from their own understanding and imagination.

十月是收获的季节，每个年级也在不同的德育主题里收获着自己的成长，希望我们可以在每个月的主题课程里有得有所感，这也是德育主题课程的意义。

October in China is the season of harvest and joy. Students from each grade also grow from discussing different themes of moral education, We really hope students can achieve a lot from the monthly-held moral education class, which is also the significance of moral education.
