今天副国务卿约翰·沙利文在日本东京会见了日本外务事务次官秋叶刚男。会谈中,双方重申了美日同盟在印太地区作为和平与稳定基石的重要性。沙利文副国务卿和秋叶次官讨论了如何进一步推进强有力的安全联盟,并在新领域开展合作,推动自由、开放的印太地区。沙利文副国务卿和秋叶次官还承诺共同努力实现两国共同的目标,即通过包括与大韩民国三边合作的途径,实现最终、经充分核实的北朝鲜无核化。2018年11月13日发言人希瑟·诺尔特的简报,发言人办公室,华盛顿DC。

 

Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan met today with Japanese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Takeo Akiba in Tokyo, Japan. During the meeting, the two reaffirmed the importance of the U.S.-Japan Alliance as the cornerstone of peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. Deputy Secretary Sullivan and Vice Minister Akiba discussed how to further the strong security alliance and cooperate in new areas to advance a free and open Indo-Pacific. Deputy Secretary Sullivan and Vice Minister Akiba also pledged to work together toward achieving both countries’ shared goal of a final, fully verifiable denuclearized North Korea, including through trilateral cooperation with the Republic of Korea.
