每年，世界糖尿病日活动都会关注一个持续一年或多年的特定主题。2018-19世界糖尿病日的主题是家庭和糖尿病。美国疾病预防控制中心（CDC）在中国与当地伙伴合作，推广糖尿病患者的季节性流感疫苗接种，培训卫生保健工作者如何向他们的患者推荐这种疫苗。患有糖尿病的人更易患流感相关并发症，据估计这些高风险患者只有1％接种流感疫苗。增加对于这种疫苗的接受和使用是改善糖尿病患者整体健康的重要一步。

Every year, the World Diabetes Day campaign focuses on a dedicated theme that runs for one or more years. The theme for World Diabetes Day 2018-19 is Family and Diabetes.

U.S. CDC in China works with local partners to promote Seasonal Influenza Vaccination in Diabetes patients, training health-care workers on how to recommend this vaccine to their patients.  People who have Diabetes are more susceptible to influenza-related complications, and it is estimated that only 1% of these high-risk patients receive the influenza vaccination.  Increasing the acceptance and use of this vaccine is an important step in improving the overall health of patients with diabetes.
