Last week, saw the end of the two week Low Residency period of the MA Fine Art Digital at Camberwell College of Arts. During these unique fortnight, London based first and second year students had the opportunity to work together with online students from across the world.
Students taking part in the residency visited important museums and galleries across London, meeting key industry artists and curators .They took part in a choice of seminars that crossed over the 5 different MA courses offered at Camberwell as well as experimenting with the college’s letterpress workshop and created a collaborative film. All under the guidance and support of artist and course leader Jonathan Kearney.
Speaking about this experience Canadian student Yvonne Opalinski said:
“The Low Residency intensive time in London is an indispensable part of the course. So many points of contact have occurred to shape practice in such a positive way. I can’t wait to implement some of the fresh ideas in my work.”
The MA Fine Art Digital at Camberwell is a unique course offering both, a studio based course in London and as an Online/Low Residency option with students living anywhere in the world. To read more about the Low Residency 2015 click here.
