继2014年5月东渡分别与新斯科舍省经济发展公司（NSBI）和大哈利法克斯区域经合组织(GHP)签署理解备忘录之后，2014年9月5日，加拿大新斯科舍省省长斯蒂芬·麦克内尔先生及其代表团一行（省长办公室主任卡比·麦克维卡先生，规划与优先事务处理办公室副部长伯尼·米勒先生，政府间事务部国际关系主任艾伯特·巴迪·沃扎克先生，新斯科舍省经济发展公司招商引资部总经理约翰· 鲁多维奇先生，新斯科舍省经济发展公司贸易发展部总经理迈克·麦克默里先生）参观东渡国际集团上海总部进行回访，集团董事长李海林先生，东渡国际俱乐部发展和国际投资首席执行官伍彼德先生等代表集团热情接待省长代表团。
省长一行首先来到东渡国际集团上海总部，双方于集团贵宾接待室就东渡概况，特别是目前东渡在新斯科舍省的投资发展状况进行了亲切友好的会谈。李海林董事长向省长阐述了东渡在新斯科舍省发展的伟大愿景，省长对于东渡在当地的投资大加赞赏并寄予厚望。

随后，省长一行来到东渡3A现场进行参观。董事长助理刘春向省长一行介绍东渡国际嘉庭广场的概念及功能分区，东渡国际俱乐部发展和国际投资首席执行官伍彼德先生向其介绍上海嘉庭中心概况及“25小时生活方式”的研究发展理念，省长对此表示出浓厚兴趣。在参观销售中心时，省长一行对东渡高科技的展示方式及关怀现代人生活需求的理念表示高度赞赏，认为其非常具有吸引力。
接下来，董事长李海林先生于老别墅宴请省长一行，并在席间进一步就东渡在当地发展愿景和宏图与省长进行了探讨。省长表示大力支持东渡在当地的投资发展计划，并希望东渡能够为当地经济发展，就业等方面做出贡献。
新斯科舍省省长及其代表团造访东渡国际集团对于集团海外事业发展具有深远意义，是集团加拿大事业扩展具有标志性意义的一步。东渡在当地的投资发展得到了各方肯定与支持，包括中国驻加拿大大使馆以及当地政府，还有当地社区和各界华人组织等。东渡加拿大海外拓展如旭日喷薄，正在稳健布局和发展中，相信东渡一定会逐步实现在加拿大新斯科舍省的宏伟愿景。

Thiswas Premier McNeil and his delegation’s first visit to DDI Headquarter inShanghai and both sides exchanged views on the DDI business overview (whichmainly focused on its investment in Nova Scotia). Chairman Li Hailin explainedDDI’s development vision in Nova Scotia to Premier McNeil and Premier McNeilappreciated DDI’s interest in local investment.
Aftera short talk and visit, Premier McNeil and his delegation came to DDI 3A site.The assistant to Chairman Liu Chun briefly introduced Premier McNeil to theconcept and different function divisions of the Dongdu International JiatingCenter and CEO Peter Wood explained the overview of Shanghai Town and CountryCommunity with its “25-Hour Lifestyle” concept. The high-tech way it ispresented to people in sales center and the concern with modern people’s needattracted the delegation with great interest.
DDIthen hosted a lunch banquet for Premier McNeil and his delegation at Old Villaand further discussed DDI’s investment and development plan in Nova Scotia.Premier McNeil showed his support. It is also expected that DDI would makecontribution to local economy, tourism, employment and other aspects.
Thisvisit of Premier McNeil and his delegation is quite important to DDIinternational business development. It is also a meaningful step for DDI’sinvestment strategy in Nova Scotia. DDI gains great support from variousorganizations which includes the Chinese Embassy in Canada, local governmentand community, and local Chinese community. DDI will continue its explorationin Nova Scotia to bring benefits to both local and Chinese people. It isbelieved that DDI will achieve its vision in Nova Scotia step by step.
