As the Marketing Coordinator, you will coordinate the production of marketing projects (print and digital) and provide expertise in the design, production and distribution of marketing materials to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. You will work closely with the Events and Membership team to ensure that initiatives and deliverables meet our member-focused objectives and culture.
Responsibilities of the Marketing Coordinator are, but not limited to, the following:
Contribute to the design and development of print and digital marketing material
Co-ordinate the production and distribution planning of marketing materials
Work with internal and external design and production resources and printers
Co-ordinate with translation, legal and compliance to review and approve marketing materials
Proofread copy and images and co-ordinate final sign-off on marketing materials
Work with project team to ensure collateral adheres to brand guidelines
Develop and manage media relationships
Meet yearly budget objectives as well as create and control budgets for specific projects
Manage official social media channels including, supervision of content creation, development of a publication schedule and development relationships with key influencers on social media channels
Maintain and update website
Track performance metrics of various digital platforms
Other duties include but aren’t limited to:
Provide general support to CanCham Shanghai events
Manage interns
Desired profile:
College or University graduate
2 years relevant experience
Canadian passport holder or native knowledge of Canadian culture
Excellent problem solving skills and capacity to adapt to various situations
Solid spelling, grammar and proofreading ability
Good understanding of direct response marketing (print and digital)
Working knowledge of print production, layout and graphics design
Ability to handle multiple projects, organize work and set priorities
Ability to embrace tight deadlines, competing priorities, and budget restraints
Excellent time management skills
Creative thinker
Ability to work independently but also work closely with other team members
Ability to consult, negotiate and influence
Documentation and computer skills
Proficiency in written and verbal English
Proficiency in French and/or Chinese is an asset
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
SEO, data analytics and CMS experience
Mass email marketing and contact database management experience
